I bought these tiny battery operated lights in Primarni the other day. They are pink and cost £2. I drape them over my mirror and they are so pretty. I get so much pleasure from them, so worth £2!!!
I used to buy a fancy hand wash but I wait until it goes half price at £1.25. They have not been on offer for ages so I bought a ALD1 hand wash for 59p. Guess what? I love it more than the £2.50 one.
Just saying....If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Totally agree, and if anyone has any suggestions for economical but lovely bath stuff that doesn't make me itch then I would be very grateful.

Oatmilk is wonderful on itches and you can make a bath version very cheaply - porridge oats in a sock or tights under the tap, and fragrance with your favourite essential oils.

Ooh thanks rosa, will try that. Think I have some not very smelly rose oil somewhere and we always have oats.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I seem to be overspending on food shopping and household stuff lately. I think because there always seem to be random things I need.
I think I will create a shopping list of absolutely everything I might need and use it to keep supplies up to date. That way I won’t be forever in the shops wasting money on the ‘extras’ I am tempted by.
You would have thought I would have had this aspect of budgeting sorted by now. I am beginning to bore myself!
Anyway, going back to spending £30 a week divided in the following way:
1X monthly veg/chicken box =28
1X monthly online shop =50
1X weekly YS shop £15X4 =60
I have some vacuum packed chestnuts that need using up…
I will be making chestnut and pistachio nut falafel rolled in blue poppy seeds for crunch. They will go with buckwheat wraps and apricot hummus. I will add grated carrot and thinly sliced red onion after spreading the hummus on the wrap and I think that will be lovely. I will be going to the hospital with niece this week so I want to take her something nice to eat.
See this is what happens as I am now thinking I need to shop for blue poppy seeds and pistachios I am my own worst enemy…
It is getting cold here.
A busy day tomorrow for me but a nice quiet day today so I should be ready for it

Yum, that sounds lovely. Pistachios are ridiculously expensive, I stock up if they are reduced after Christmas but we ran out months ago. Asda had shelf labels for 75% off ones in the whole food bit by the fruit and veg but no actual stock sadly. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I’ve been unwell this week, so taking it easy and home based. I can do stuff but slowly and with plenty of rest in-between.
I know I am unwell as food doesn’t taste that good and I can take or leave it. I HAVE EVEN GONE OFF CHOCOLATE. I made some soup yesterday with leeks and lentils.
As a result of being unwell my kitchen is clean and there are no dirty dishes in the sink. I need to steam clean the kitchen floor, clean the cupboards and doors and the window. It is completely obvious but even in the state of disrepair in the kitchen, when it is clean it is so much nicer
I am looking rubbish. I feel older than my years. Dry skin and hair. Blah, blah blah, moan, moan, moan. Bored of hearing it too.
On my way home from the GPs I phoned and tracked down local beauty college. I have been meaning to do this for 2 years. No appointments but I had a good chat with the receptionist and I will be booking an appointment when they become free in the first week of December. They do facials on my day off so I will be returning!
Also there is a catering college housed there too. I had coffee there to assess it. Gorgeous space and a menu that is amazing quality and value.
Future plan will be a day off work for beauty treatments plus a lovely lunch. It is near a lovely common with swans so a stroll there will be lovely too. Perfect for a thrifty girlie day
I am strapped to a monitor until tomorrow morning so a bit of ironing, pottering and planning

DIA I slept for 2 hours this afternoon not like me. I am sorry to hear you haven't been 100% either . The monitor you have I hope it gives the information the doctor needs to get you well again.
On the beauty college we used to have one locally but they moved it further away , however yours sounds in a nice place . The lunch as well will make a great day out. Whatever you have done will make you feel better about yourself.
