Nice YS haul, I hope the new food hall works for you. I was excited about passing one on the way back from my contract stuff but at 4.30/5 they are just doing 20% off sadly.Life is way too short not to eat chocolateIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. I have had treats.
Theatre and a meal. I was treated to the meal and I paid for the ticket in early summer
I was treated to flowers today
Today I finished work, so relieved. My ‘weekend’ has arrived. I need a few days for myself…
I have noticed the increase in food prices for the first time really. I read another diary where they were talking about the increase in the price of butter. Today I noticed red lentils. I used to buy them in Mr W for 89p, today I paid £1.20. I will now go to an Indian supermarket and buy this in bulk as I use them loads.
My best buy today amongst lots of YS veggies was 4 bags of leeks reduced from £1.79 to 10p. Along with the lentils this will keep me in soup all week.
YS shopping has spoilt me. Today I bought some wafer thin ham for a salad. It was £3.25 reduced to £1 and I thought that was a bit pricey
Tomorrow I will be making/cooking/prepping food to last until Wednesday
houmous
leek and lentil soup
leek and cheese frittata
grilling sausages for the fridge
chop up celery for the fridge
cook kidney beans for the fridge
make a chicken stock for soup
lamb and root veggie curry
Hoping you are all enjoying your weekend
I am so looking forward to waking up and not having to go anywhere tomorrowIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

DIA hope you gave a lovely day at home getting all your food prepped.
Glad you enjoyed theatre, flowers and meal. I bought a vase yesterday for a £1 so am treating myself to some flowers from MR A to put in the said vase.

Today
I prepped all the food I said I would except for the humous. There is enough stuff until Wednesday so I’ll do that in the second half of the week.
Redo, you are right, the curry was greatly improved by adding lentils
I’ve definitely overeaten. It’s crisps. I eat them and they make me hungry in the way nuts do not. It is the simple carbs. Bad for blood sugar and they send me down an unfortunate path. NOT BUYING CRISPS ANYMORE. Also decluttered my freezer and threw away all processed meats as keep eating cheap sausages I got YS. It isn't a bargain if it affects my health. I hate food waste but I don't want to eat them!
Other than cooking and a 2 hour telephone call and cleaning the back of a door and one window I have done a big fat nothing.Ah well. Will do better tomorrow
The compressed hours have not worked out. It became complicated for work to administer and I was being asked to do tasks in the additional time that I was not happy with so back to the drawing board on that one
The £320 at the end of my debt is annoying me  It hasn't been there long but it feels like it has. I want to be in the 3s today...
I hope you are all there having lovely Sundays and enjoying the fireworks even if it involves looking out of the window and looking upIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
