Rosa is right but without sharing all of my neuroses on a public forum, I don't like my financial details being linked to any online accounts and I especially dislike the idea of paypal...

I'll get over myself and probably do gumtr33 again...:)

    Hi DIA

I keep just one credit card for this sort of thing, so my current account details aren't shared and I know there is only the one account at risk. You can always say payment in cash on collection, it's just a bit more risky, so you might want to insist that you have confirmation somehow before you set off to deliver. And I gather people sometimes try to haggle at the last minute with cash, so you'd perhaps want to decide where you stand on that.

I went out for a cup of tea. My friends had cakes and drinking chocolate. I had a Jasmine tea. Split 3 ways so the total cost was £7.50 to me (for a cup of herbal tea)

Bought cakes for my team as it was my turn to treat. Another £7.50

Someone leaving so £3 in collection.

So a £18 spend today despite taking my lunch in to work and taking coffee in my flask for the journey in.

I’m starting to get frightened to go to work

In other news this is the last month of an expensive charity donation.:T

A tight month for me so I need to get in line quickly before it is too late.

Diet and exercise wise I am slipping again. The clocks go back this weekend and that should make it easier to get up as effectively we get an extra hour. I’m going to try morning exercise after this change

Tomorrow I will be balancing my budget and planning how to use what funds I have left after my essential commitments have gone out.

I hope you all had a good day

It sort of is an extra hour for ages for me as my body clock takes ages to readjust. So I go to bed earlier due to the extra hour and so I wake up earlier. My body clock prefers it when the clocks go back :)

Frankly I think that's cheeky - unless you do this regularly and it sometimes happens the other way, it should have been that you put in enough for your tea and the rest was split between the other two. Hardly fair to miss out on cake and still pay for it!

Thanks rosa. I agree. Last week it was a meal for the team that cost me £40 for a £13 dish. It does annoy me but I try and suck it up as it looks mean to quibble. I am simply not going to do this anymore now I've realised the result.

    Eek.

This kind of thing is always difficult, but people should really try and be sensitive to potentially different budgets at work. I am lucky that at my place such things are minimal, but there should at least be the option to pay approximately your share rather than misallocation on the scale you're talking about.
