Yes, the rise of hatred and racism does seem to be alive and well.

The video here is worth watching and sharing as the media and their lies are a large part of the problem.

I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.

Agreed 100%. My argument is that if economic conditions are bad enough to cause house prices to truly crash (not just dip / blip) - then I think we will all have far more to be worried about than buying a house!!

Economic conditions are not good anyway, but it could just be that for one reason or another the government decide to stop propping up the housing market, cuts to HTB or HB for example? They have already shown themselves ready to be less accommodating towards BTL, and as most people own outright or rent they won`t really be affected. Of course a full blown currency crisis would really put the cat among the pigeons.......

If you want an adult debate then it is probably best not to use this kind of language, as it sounds like wummery.

I think there will be a reaction (dip) in the housing market. However i can't see how it will help those struggling to get on the property ladder if at the same time banks are failing and economies are tanking...

The banks that survive will lend at lower multiples and higher interest rates, the world isn`t going to end because UK property crashes.

Investors are selling property in London and moving into precious metals (real currency) - Good idea ?!?.

Hopefully gold will tell the story....

Those 4 freedoms we're told we have to adhere to aren't going down too well in several countries. Switzerland, with access to single market, has already held a referendum and the Swiss said immigration needs to be curbed. There's a current stand off with the EU.

Several other EU countries are expressing concern including Hungary who are also holding a referendum on EU immigration policy in October. Last week French police pepper-sprayed immigrants trying to cross over the border from Italy

All is not well in the land of the 4 freedoms.

    Nah, don't believe it.
That just doesn't happen in that bastion of European co-operation called the EU. :)

The danger of vital needs like shelter becoming investment chips is that those who actually thought they were borrowing for a "home" get left holding the bag when investors take flight.

This thread is just a load of hot air and speculation. And really rather tedious and boring.

apparently large numbers of people believe it is right to discriminate against all the peoples of the world except for a selective group of 28 predominately white christian countries.
and even worse they have religious like certainty that it is holy and morally right to do so and they believe they are superior to anyone that disagrees with them.

    quite frightening really.

Sometimes it is good to learn about financial markets and how money is created.....tedious and boring I know but good education. Remember financial markets are good indicators, unfortunately most people get caught with their pant down.....they don't understand how things work.
