    That`s a joke I take it?

No, I am pretty sure it was part of the conservative manifesto.

Creating a hard border could reignite those tensions.

Totally impractical though. Hence the current agreement.

From the UK perspective with exchange rates the way they are. A boom for NI trade activity.

Yes, what I mean is we knew there was going to be referendum, but the Remain result was considered nailed on by MSM and pundits right up until the Sunderland/Newcastle results started coming in, and many pundits on here thought Remain was a done deal. David Cameron probably expected to get a Remain result and carry on as PM.

Yes, I think most people were genuinely surprised when the leave vote came out on top.

The point is all the post-brexit predictions of the 'experts' - including many on here, are looking embarrassingly incorrect.

    So far.......:)

Brexit won't be news of the day for ever. There'll be something else. Always is.

In what respect? The OBR forecast in March 2016 was that GDP Growth in 2017 would be over 2%. The forecast now is significatly less at 1.3%.

When you say the experts were wrong, HM Treasury never said it would be negative growth. It said that by 2030 GDP would be up to 6% lower than it would have been had we remained. You are crowing over a figure that is a sizeable contribution to that 6% in one year.

    Do explain!

It would be like putting a border between Sweden and Norway. Might work on the main highway but quietly ignored in all the country roads.

I don't believe the OBR made a prediction assuming brexit. Those that did are now backtracking.

I've already mentioned I'm mainly focusing on what can be measured right now ie ftse and pound. Neither fell as forecast.
