If we vote for Brexit what happens

I guess it depends, if you see yourself as a European living in one of the counties of the United States of Europe then it doesn't matter. If you still think in terms of countries then it makes sense to fully commit to whichever country you have decided to make your home in.
AS you know I am unusual in supporting brexit not to control immigration but because I see Europe as being pretty insular and protectionist and want to be a citizen of the whole world not shut behind the walls of a mostly white christian europe being fearful of the rest of the world where they look different and worship different gods.
I don't really think in terms of countries, but it's not the US of E eitherI don't particularly relate strongly to any nationality. It's just where you happen to have been born and, in Europe at least, is fairly meaningless.
And I know you're unusual. The problem is that people voted Leave for so many different reasons, it's going to be very messy from now on and I fear everyone is going to be disappointed with what they get. Like a kind of really crap secret Santa...Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
If you are interested, this gives an explanation of the issues. It is partly about the Euro but also covers leaving the EU.

i.e. if there's a swell of support in Frexit, Nexit, Italeave, Swexit, Dexit, etc... and there's been reports of "joy" at the Brexit result in these countries then there may be a mandate to dismantle all the crap bits of the EU people complain about and move to something approaching EU-lite. If we've not pressed the red button, or perhaps if we're not past the 2 year period it may be possible to salvage something reasonable from the relationship.
I agree although I am not sure that the UK public would see it that way.
One could imagine Freedom of Movement being replaced by a standardised framework where nations could choose to apply the existing rules or some form of points system or something in between.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

Do they do secret santa in France or is it banned under the not mixing religion with employment regulations?
Dunno, I left for the UK whilst at Uni. I have honestly no idea if it's done over there or not. And it's officially the Church and State that can't mixlaw of 190something but sometimes it's taken so far it's ridiculous...

So despite your upset at our quaint notions of democracy it could be said that you do actually quite like it here?
Très BienI think....0 -
