"David Cameron said earlier that he would lobby for further changes to free movement rules in the light of European Court rulings if the UK votes to remain tomorrow, saying the process of EU reform will "continue on Friday"."

"But at a press conference today, EU Commission President Jean Claude Juncker said:

British voters have to know there will be no kind of any negotiation. We have concluded a deal with the prime minister. He got the maximum he could receive, and we gave the maximum we could give, so there will be no kind of renegotiation."

Do people still think that we can negotiate a better deal with the EU if we Remain? This seems fairly clear how much influence we will have.....

    Great.

As Mr Cameron has said he'd step down as PM before the next election and Turkey is a minimum of two decades away from EU membership I think we can safely discount his views on the matter.

So would you vote the other way if Turkey did look like acceeding in the next 5 years?
    I think....

If we stay in now they will just walk over us even more and we will pay more and get less. There was a graph of the countries who are in and how much a few pay in and how much all the other take out, but I can't find it now.....Things will get worse I think

Frankly, though I don't put much stock in the deal Cameron did achieve, I'm doubtful we'll even get that. Twenty-seven other heads of state have to sign off on it yet, who with a vote to remain will likely feel "Mission accomplished" and be in no hurry to deliver the promise.

There's no incentive for European leaders to actually deliver on this once we've determined to remain in the European Union.
This is everybody's fault but mine.

I don't think so, I used to work in the aerospace industry and the consensus was a bit of scaremongering going on.
My tv and computer were fine, despite people saying things would go wrong with them....

indeed there were absurd stories circulating : one I loved was the lifts would stop working.
it may be in your industry there were no issues

however that doesn't change the fact that the IT systems of most banks, insurance companies, many company billing systems, stock control, material management systems, pension systems etc would have failed.

Listening to the Remainers this last few months you would think more immigration would be welcome. Apparently not. ;)

Last night Jean Claude Junker made a speech in which he said:
I deliver this speech here two days before the British people take their biggest decision in a generation. So let us talk about Britain. History has taught us a simple lesson: Europe is stronger together.
We are more powerful when we join our forces. We are more secure when we look out for each other. We are more prosperous when we trade with each other. All too often, we take for granted what we have built. Peace among countries that knew only war. Freedom that is guaranteed by the rule of law. Prosperity that is built on the planet's biggest internal market. A way of life that is the envy of the entire world. This is the patient work of generations of women and men, and we could not have done it without the British people. Leaving the European Union would put all of this at risk. It would damage what we have achieved so far. It would diminish what we can achieve tomorrow. To turn your backs on your neighbours and retreat into isolation would go against everything that Europe and the United Kingdom stands for. To leave would be an act of self-harm.

Quite a good summary in my view.
Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.

Yes, and Juncker has just restated that there would be no more 'concessions' (not that the 'negotiations' achieved much anyway) to the UK if it voted to remain. So much for the lies emanating from Cameron, again (and Corbyn). So much for a 'reformed EU' that has been talked about by them and other remainders.

    Vote Leave! :T

Transferwise is a large retail FX peer-to-peer and brokerage service.

I have suggested on two occasions that people should be buying their holiday Dollars and Euros before Thursday if they believed Brexit would win.
I certainly have carried out my plan to be more liquid than normal just in case there are the above difficulties or even a run on the Banks.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.
