Yeah sorry, what was I thinking. No one uses armoured vehicles anymore, or military ships to escort merchant shipping. There's also no possible way to defend a target from missile strikes.

You think you're going to defend a steel works plus supply chain against missiles. You're nuts.

As a remainder I am beginning to think that Brexit will win.

A large number of voters will vote for Brexit because they "think" this will stop immigration from both the EU and elsewhere and only "good" foreigners will be allowed in.

Although this is unlikely to happen. Even many Brexit posters here have said they favour models that still permit free movement.

So we will leave the EU based on many voters misunderstanding what the result will mean.

    So be it.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

We relied on the Mother Country to allow us very graciously to decide our own affairs and then kinda middled through from there.

We never applied to join the European Union as we are not in Europe. We are in a completely free trade and immigration area with the other country within our continent. There are more restrictions on taking an orange from Sydney to Gilgandra in NSW than there are on importing goods or migrating from NZ to Sydney.

It is further from Perth to New Zealand than from Wales to New England - perhaps we should be in a free trade zone with the much more dynamic USA than the moribund EU?

    I'm bored now.

I would propose that your suggestion that it's impossible to defend against missiles is factually incorrect. And therefore your assertion that steel is not required in time of war is also factually incorrect.

    Just read Martin's blog:
    http://blog.moneysavingexpert.com/2016/06/05/how-to-vote-in-the-eu-referendum/?_ga=1.94486364.1711625700.1465288102
I thought pretty fair although I would have preferred:
When he spoke of the uncertainty around post leave he had also mentioned that with remain there are many uncertainties too.
He had mentioned the small amount of evidence that membership benefits the median and above income groups at the expense of the lowest two deciles.
    I think....

Nobody has said this would be the last referendum.

All the voters are being asked is a simple question. All that they can give is a simple answer.

    *This is not their fault*

No, some are voting so that the voters of the UK can determine the immigration policy

I am shocked at the level of ignorance of many 'remain' voters and think you shouldn't vote atall as you clearly misundestand the basic issues.

Some more nonsense in the MSM today about Leave pulling ahead:

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/eu-referendum-david-cameron-urges-voters-to-register-as-leave-camp-surges-ahead-a7068386.html

Whatever happens the Tories will consider it a ringing endorsement of some part of their party.

At least hopefully this fiasco will have put a end to the aspirations of Prime Minister Boris.

    Just some of the complete misunderstandings on Remains side;

+ EU protects British workers - UK Govt's give us greater paternity and holiday rights than the EU

+ Independent UK would be isolated, without influence, a little nation of 70 million people - Tell that to Japan, Canada, Australia, Switzerland - I've never once heard their citizens decrying their 'isolated' status, after all they sit on all sorts of global rules bodies and task forces

+ EU tariffs will harm us - extremely unlikely as this would be counter-productive and cause less trade, less harmony, more risk all round, the very last thing vulnerable EU nations with high unemployment need and with general elections coming up (oh I know French cheese and wine makers, lets make your produce more expensive so fewer sales are made and you loose your incomes and jobs)

+ Polish plumbers and teachers will be sent home - just staggering ignorance and yet I keep hearing remains audiences saying daft things like this

+ We need Poles and Bulgarians to wipe the bums of our elderly, and pick cabbages - not if we insist some of the 1.5m unemployed Brits works for their benefits, or takes those jobs, and also less immigration will drive up wages in these sectors and be more attractive

    Why do you think this?

Boris is the epitome of Mr Teflon. I don't think he is in any rush.

Europe could once again rip the Tories apart, but who steps into the gap?

Even with a Remain vote I think the scene is set for more right wing politics.
