As a Remainer I wouldn't be crying myself to sleep over an outcome of EEA membership.

I do think a lot (not all by any means) of Brexit voters would feel hugely betrayed though.

Free movement of Labour is the issue driving a lot of the Brexit vote, as can be seen by the high ranking given to immigration as an issue in all the polling around it.

If it happens, I would expect it to actually strengthen support for UKIP rather than reduce their relevance.

The only reason we're having this referendum is because of concerns about free movement.
If Cameron had got *anything* remotely substantial back from his negotiation then this would be a walkover for remain.
As it is he got nothing.

Everything everyone was threatening Scotland with will be just as applicable if the UK votes to leave the (European) Union.

    Being made an example of
Being seen to be punished even if there is reciprocal pain
Having to cope with having offended the bigger party
Being told that the bigger party will take their own sweet time in deciding what to do about us and no they don't care how urgent we find it

All of that. The only way anyone in their right mind should vote Leave is if they seriously want us to have NOTHING to do with Europe, either politically or economically.

There is no middle ground any more. It is far too late for that.

Sorry but this is complete nonsense

I suspect that Labour and the SNP saw what happened to Lib Dem support after they got into bed with the Tories and are scared that the same thing will happen to them. In addition I suspect that Labour are quite enjoying watching the Tories at each other's throats.

Labour is divided on the issue of whether to share platforms with Conservatives. Some on the left see it as potentially damaging by being seen to consort with the enemy. The centre left seems cooler about it. The SNP may also be a factor as some argue the debacle in Scotland for Labour is the result of them being seen as too closely associated with the SNP.

So if we exit and many foreigners go home, there will be lots of jobs for BRits and unemployment will fall.

There's no reason why those that are working in legit jobs should go home. However, we will be in a position to deport criminals, beggars (there are many dubious Romanian sitting around in underpasses in London, for instance) and terrorists – in fact any migrant who is not productive and/or is a threat to our people. Currently we cannot do this due to EU laws, and it is costing us a fortune in both money and the well-being of the British population.

We can and should also close our borders and allow in people according to a points system, like Australia does. The current situation is chaotic and dangerous.

Yep, you might even be able to do a little work here and there while hanging at the teet of the British taxpayer.

Im on JSA and over the benefits cap.

Basically because of housing benefit and Child tax credits I get my total benefits reduced by the amount of JSA I should be getting before the cap.

So If I do a little work here and there, and declare the earnings, it would be taken off my JSA would it not? But my benefits wouldnt actually go down as long as I only earn a little, I would still be getting £500week.

Would it complicate my claims for housing benefit or would I even need to tell them?
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

There is endless they said, we said speculation.

    Narrow the decision down :

Do you want to be able to vote In and OUT the politicians that govern you.
If you would rather they were just appointed on your behalf from the waiting pool of sharks known as career politicians then vote remain.
You wont have to vote any more, they will make all the complicated decision on your behalf.

Thats really all that is set in stone with the Brexit, who runs our country, who makes out laws and your right to vote them out if you do not like the new laws and lets not forget, they love new laws, 27 every single day that you mist obey.

This is effectively could be the last election in a lifetime in which you can vote to change anything meaningful.

If you trust the self appointed EU commissioners to run your life for you go ahead vote remain.
If you would like you and your children to be able to hold politicians accountable with the right to remove them, vote leave.

Nothing else is certain but that one important point.
That is set firmly in the tablets of stone .
I do Contracts, all day every day.

Can you find a single reference from anyone in power that threatened Scotland if there was a YES vote?

remember we don't trade with Europe: we trade with individual companies who wish to make a profit.

all in all only total cowards and people without principles and without a moral compass would submit to threats and bullying

OK. Another utterly useless contribution from you then.

    Keep it up.

Perhaps we should feel the same way about London. London voted Labour but got a Conservative government. There are hundreds of unelected bureaucrats appointed by an unrepresentative government spending our tax money on the good for nothing immigrants from North of Watford. This money could be better spent on the hard working families of London. We have no democracy, we have no control of our borders. Any old riffraff with funny sounding accents from far-off places named after body organs can come here with their v-neck t-shirts and take our jobs. It is outrageous I tell you.

Indeed there is serious issue of what constitutes democracy.
Your suggestion seems that because our democracy isn't perfect, it makes no difference if we make it even less presentative : I'm sure your logic leads to simply abolishing it altogether.
This would be your personal choice : that proposed by Hilter or that proposed by Stalin?
