Yes I feel so connected to such democracy, its so nice to know the little people have a nice direct link to these Brussels elites, that we can remove them if we wish. I mean it's transparency 101......0 -

I think the point is there's no need for hysteria ever time an Economists report comes out. Seriously you'd end up a nervous wreck.
Just Google German Economy worries and see how many reports come up from the last year, same for UK
Here's the take home; In our out of the EU these reports come and go like the tide. That's why Ive always been sanguine when it comes to Project Fear, it truly is silly business0 -
UK Brexit minister - Brussels is trying to get me sackedBritain's Brexit minister David Davis said on Friday that European Union leaders in Brussels were trying to get him sacked, after critical accounts of a meeting between British and EU negotiators were leaked to media.
Last week, Prime Minister Theresa May accused some in the EU of trying to influence Britain's national election after reports in the German press described a stormy meeting between her Brexit team, lead by Davis, and EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.
“All these stories are briefing against me trying to get me sacked - which of course is a compliment," Davis told the Daily Telegraph newspaper. “If they don’t want me across the table, there is a reason for that – it is in Britain’s interests, not theirs.”

What Macron doesn't seem to know is that the protectionism that he wants the EU to impose, is illegal under WTO rules.
Doesn't stop the drive towards the goal of a Federal Europe. As is constantly said and gets ignored. Has always been the dream. Not one shared by everyone though. One wonders if the Eastern Europeans are enamoured with there political counterparts in the West.0 -

It feels like the desire to create a federal Europe is gathering pace. Brexit has the potential to scupper the whole project, so it's not surprising that the 'big two' in the Eurozone are keen to keep things moving. France and Germany realise that the more they talk about integration the keener the smaller and more supplicant nations will be to acquiesce so as not to be left behind.
I'm glad to live in a nation that still has enough about itself to opt for a major change in direction.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0
