Interesting Sky News video shown last night, on Le Pens rising prospects and how her appeal is spreading well beyond her core vote.
Notice the anti social behaviour that seems endemic in France now (friends visiting Paris have said this to me lately);

It would seem that the Labour Party are going to back the amendment when it comes to HoCKeir Starmer, the shadow Brexit secretary, said there was a growing consensus. “The prime minister is now increasingly isolated. Labour will continue to support this simple but effective amendment when it returns to the Commons, and urge MPs on all sides of the house to do so.”

The EU essentially has an existing profitable free trade deal with a neighbour, the UK.
We aren't here talking about potential trade, as per the Canadian FTA, we are talking live and present actual trade currently worth 10 x more than that with Canada. UK-EU trade rules / standards are already fully aligned and in compliance.
Imagine the hassles a nation like Holland will face if all manner of barriers and processes' intrude upon their existing trading landscape.
Sorry, I cant see it happening. Common sense and protection of existing trade will trump Brussels technocratic wet dreams0 -

Isn't this where somebody points out that supporters of the Brexit bill lost and that they should get over it and stop making silly petitions and talking the country down?

Replace the unelected House of Lords with a publicly elected body
Sounds a bit like 2012 the House of Lords Reform Bill?The House of Lords Reform Bill 2011 was a proposed Act of Parliament of the United Kingdom introduced to the House of Commons in June 2011 by Nick Clegg. Among other reforms, the bill would have made the United Kingdom's upper chamber mostly elected.
Oh...hold on.It was abandoned by the British Government in August 2012 and formally withdrawn on 3 September 2012[2] following opposition from within the Conservative Party

A good many Lords primary driver is grandstanding and virtue signalling, very often misaligned with the good common sense instincts of the wider public.
They don't give a fig for the fate of Brits abroad, as long as they get to collect virtue status points amongst Establishment cretins.
Off with their bloated heads.0
