Still an uncomfortable situation. There is still the worry that they may go home for a holiday and during that time Britain does a Trump and brings in some "special immigration" rules.

A decent fair minded person could have observed that the one or more of the EU27 might have done a Trump: after all, it is the EU27 refusing to discuss the issue whilst the UK is keen to resolve the matter.

I just read in The Guardian that Grexit is back on the table with a bang. Thier next debt repayment is due in July and it looks like the coffers are empty. Creditors are demanding yet more austerity, a 13th cut to pensions, and bond rates a rocketing.

If they'd left in 2010, gone back to a nice low valued currency, they'd be well on thier way by now

I well recall these endless moaners in my industry, engaged in angry protest, meetings and such like, telling the rest of us the end was neigh, that the FSA had ruined the provision of FS for average clientele, and on an on they went

All a total waste of their energy and time. In the meantime lots of sanguine folk just gone on with life, adapted and prospered.

I am getting on with what I need to do though.

I stand by what I said, in that it's going to be a lot easier to tour the UK with an EU company (in fact, the UK has a specific visa for situations like this, the Schengen area doesn't) than the other way around.

You have to remember also that I was reading a thread yesterday, and there was talk of £300ish tickets. We sell on average at about 5% of that in the UK, and at this level I have to consider extremely seriously if operating the other way how low the pound will go, or consider raising prices.

I'm sure there will be a middle ground somewhere, but I don't think (or think you genuinely believe) that May will get absolutely everything without having to pay something towards it.

The one Remain voter still very much hankering after staying in the EU as far as possible, going over tired old Remain arguments, was the dreadful Shadow Treasury Minister. She's like a child, a starrey eyed sixth former, God forbid her ever in charge of the nations finances, what on earth does she know about enterprise creation?

You are so right. Unbelievable state Labour is in. Don't even know how she got elected as an MP let alone be in the cabinet.

It's like some sort of bad joke.

Also when asked, is that the only reason, she smiled and said, "no, not the only reason".
I believe she was making the point of how farcical the EU had become...

I was quite taken aback at the German woman`s anger at the referendum result, they really do see themselves as EU citizens first and the real affront they feel at the UK seceding from the EU was particularly shocking to me.
Like most Brits (I think!) the EU and UK for me was merely a marriage of economic convenience and has no emotional involvement on the level that this woman feels.

    Who is he?

He seems arrogant and unable to even begin to comprehend the views of others, and this isn't what any country wants or needs.

Is there such a thing as an EU citizen. Or is it just a label of convenience. Having an identity is important to many people.

the German lady simply expressed her own self interest: I doubt her 'EU' first sentiment, meant she thought that Germany should write of Greek debts.
