Nothing to comment on IMHO, she made her position very clear.
    You are straw-clutching.

Now, do you intend trying to answer my questions for you as per post # 15960 and earlier?
What questions! You didn't say anything of value. May was not clear....if you are saying she was.....what exactly is her alternative 'vision' should the EU not play ball? I agree with what Owen Smith says about that above...... convince me otherwise?
None of you brexiteers have a plan of any value, something that stands up to scrutiny. You are hoping for Trump to bail us out with a 'deal':rotfl:
That is desperate.....it really is. Trade agreements these days are full of legal stuff, standards etc....they take years to sort out but May is hastening to the States to suck up to Trump's ego and get a favour.....while Merkel, Allende have their dignity and independence. We will become America's !!!!!
Nothing that May will get will be as good as what we have now......the other 27 will see to that! So what's the point!

I love the way the remain types love to whine about how 16 & 17 year olds didn't get a vote in the referendum, even though if they'd have had their way NOBODY would have got to vote (as had been the case for 30+ years & counting).

No surprise that Owen Smith would join the sore loser crew, he is an utter moron & demonstrates his colossal stupidity every time he opens his gob.

Even by your previous standards that is quite a rant!

Now stop obfuscating and READ POST 15690 for two questions which are all yours.
    It shouldn't be so difficult.

So, us "Brexiteers" are ALL looking to Trump for a deal are we?
And trade deals take years do they?
There is a word for your behaviour; that word is "delusional".

A trade deal with the USA is possible, more-so now with Trump than it was with Obama.
Just for you though, we should resist?
    Without even knowing any details?
Well if nothing else it is typical of your delusional POV.

Those "years" for trade agreements are not what is being suggested by not only the USA but by Australia; New Zealand; Singapore; Brazil; India; Iceland ...........are all these counties wrong too then?
Do you not read any of the posts in this thread describing such discussions, never mind wider media reports of the same?

Oh and just as a brief finale to your delusional aspirations "Allende" (I presume you refer to Francois Hollande) will very soon no longer be the President of France.
Furthermore, Merkel's continuation as Germany's Chancellor after their September elections seems increasingly unlikely.
Again it appears that you ignore other posts upon these matters in this thread as well as in wider media.
Like you ignore the confusion within the EU - and not only in regard to Brexit.

This supposed good deal that we have now is what the country has democratically voted to reject.
And so, reject the EU we shall.

Call me an old cynic, but I wonder how much of Mr Smith's passionate sentiment is about defending the rights of the British public and how much is about just sticking it to his party leader.

Given that he has very little to lose in the latter course of action I'll wager the answer is a fair bit.
  • I noticed an interesting post yesterday about EU lawmaking but decided that the fervour surrounding the judgement would lose it - and IMHO this is too important for that.

For those who refuse to believe in the EU's undemocratic behaviour and in particular those who insist that the UK has always had at least a say in EU lawmaking read this, entitled "Secret EU law making takes over Brussels" from the EUobserver:
If no agreement is reached at first reading, a second reading is launched. But according to figures provided by the parliament, not a single bill ended up in a second reading agreement in 2016, only the second time this has happened since EU parliament record keeping began in 2004.
"That is quite astonishing, but it is just a continuation of a trend that we have been seeing for quite a while now," said Vicky Marissen of Pact European Affairs
Second readings are important because they open up the debate to the public at large. Removing this phase means the details are being agreed behind closed doors and people have to rely on insider information to understand what is happening.
"We have the short-cutting of the democratic process, almost going to an extreme now," said Jorgo Riss

  • It seems that Spain is still one of Europe's most corrupt countries according to news today.
    Not the worst, note.
    Plus this:
“Last year in Denmark, the top country on the index, 20 members of the Danish Parliament (11 percent of 179 members) did not declare their outside activities or financial interests in their asset declarations,” the group continued, adding that it is “highly alarming” that even the best-performing countries in the EU aren’t immune to corruption scandals.

There's an interactive world map & a full rankings list.
FYI the UK is ranked #10 together with Germany and Luxembourg.

If Luxembourg is as high as 10, you have to wonder just what actually counts as corruption

Wow you are getting really hysterical.....calm down dearest.

Do you think if the end of the world was coming the FTSE would be at record highs? That business leaders wouldn't be seriously complaining?
