Alright then smartpants how exactly was Merkel going to check out a huge stream of refugees in the context of that emergency so that she was going to be able to tell the genuine case from the potential terrorist? I'm sure using your years and years of experience working in security and counter terrorism you can enlighten us all?
It also completely ignores the possibiliit's that people are travelling with false papers, or are only radicalised after the fact
They've taken in 1200000 refugees remember. They were bound to let 1 or 2 through with any level of checks. It just depends on how you view the rest; humans or potential terrorists.0 -
A large chunk of that was ARM, a major tech IP company, to a Japanese phone company that uses ARM designs. It's not likely to result in many new UK jobs, but at least it's not reliant on EU access.
They bought ARM at a 40% premium above it's market price.
And then in your next post you say they're asset stripping. If I don't reply to your post,
you're probably on my ignore list.0 -
Pure conjecture. Show us some facts.
We're in a post factual world. It's nice to assume the only reason you'd buy a cheap company is that you think the economy it's based in will do well. Companies get boughtout all the time for asset/IP stripping; it's a standard partof business. ARM is a prime candidate.0 -

I said asset stripping was an option. Many big companies (including softbank) are paying huge sums of royalties to ARM every year. Their chips more or less run the world at the moment. They sell designs and not physical goods, so they have few issues with Brexit and would need to try hard not to make money.0 -
Hmmm. Their tolerance didn't last long did it.
It's almost as if they hate him. Surely not!
Not sure what you mean.

Hope Not Hate has 68000 members including patrons like Meera Syal, Billy Bragg, Glynis Kinnock, Fiona Philips and Levi Roots. You might call them left of centre, but to say they are undemocratic because they do not agree with Farage is an outrage.
As for Mr Cox he has experienced his wife gunned down by an extreme right wing fanatic because he did not like her support for Leaving the EU. For Mr Cox to be lectured by Farage about extremism is a bit rich. Mr Farage should ask himself which politicians turned Mr Mair into the extremist murderer he became?
I hope they do sue him.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

Yeah. Putting people in camps. Great.
Is that UKIP's new directive?0 -

Like they are doing in the countries surrounding Syria. I believe they're called refugee camps, some set up and run by charities no less.
Why do you persist to make a fool of yourself by trying to twist and turn everything against people you just have to disagree with no matter the veracity of what they say?0 -

What Germany should have some was treat fleeing desperate people, whose children were washing up drowned and dead on Europe's shores, with dignity and humanity.
And that is exactly what they did.
The fact that you consider this action to be aberrant says a very great deal about you, and nothing whatsoever about anyone else.0 -

They'd better do. I've given them £5. That has to provide some sueing.0
