All goods won't be tariff free after brexit either.

the UK can chose to make all goods tariff free if they so wish whereas currently the EU doesn't allow that.

Pointless voting for things that could happen when you know they won't. Waste of headspace.

of course the UK could opt for completely tariff free trade or a lot more than we currently are allowed by the EU

As I'm sure you know the difffetence between could and will it won't be too disappointing to find out could turns out to be won't.

Better off discussing what might reasonably happen than what likely won't.

Why are you so negative about the UK; do you work for the BBC where every day is a 'knock the UK' day?

there is every reason to believe that we will do what is best for the people and increase the amount of tariff free trade.

why do you think we won't increase tariff free trade?

As much as I might wish it there's zero evidence that the UK government or peoples are interested in tariff free trade.

Evidence. 40 years of not giving a toss until a bloke on the internet started pretending free trade and African farmers were a priority.

It's about immigraration. Nothing else. About 3 people care about African farmers and free trade. You and I aren't among them.

The BBC speaks for the nation. A self critical nation is a confident one.

The UK has been part of a protectionist EU for the last 40 years and hasn't been able to act independently.
It's general accepted that the UK has pressed for more free trade and reduced regulation.

You seem to have a one dimensional view of the world that only ever sees white, christian europeans and doesn't believe that change is possible.
