Basically they are Liberals who hate on working class white people. Too many of them around in left wing politics these days.
The irony is I think people who talk about liberal bigots are under the impression it's just liberals who have become meaner and more self centred versions of their previous selves whilst they remain just as nice as they've always been.
I doubt there are many people who can look in the mirror and see someone who is less mean, less extreme and more tolerant than they were five years ago.
Brexit didn't cause it - just a stop along the way.0 -

It's always been the elite who have been able to access the legal system in this way. I suspect people are unhappy with the legal ruling and using words like neoliberal, elite, openly gay etc is an attempt to shoot the messenger and discredit the legal process.0 -
If I had my way this would have been through parliament, the government would've won and article 50 would've been invoked already.
It's the elite you're part of making a shambles of this.
You call the govt inept but would prefer to have set the clock ticking before determining a base position.0 -
Brexit.
I expect to see a fairly rapid basic trade deal being put in place between us and the US, not that trade deals are necessarily unaloyed good. The preparatory work will begin shortly ready for signing once we are free of the grasp of the old Men in Brussels
Brings into sharp focus between us, a nimble autonomous responsive nation, and the great lumbering EU squabble club0 -

That has been hanging around in the background for many weeks. I suspect the Government hoped to win in the high court without having to use this very politically charged argument. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -

Why am I not surprised Mayo, Stevie and HAMISH haven't been flooding these Forums telling us how great it is that the Pounds been recovering ground these last few days? Perhaps they're only interested when it's all doom and gloom. :rotfl:0

I was thinking of Gina Miller but, as you note, money talks.0 -

It's 5 months since the referendum. There must be a base position by now. Surely?
Anyway it's going to a highly complex exercise to extricate ourselves from the EU and many of the issues won't be fully illuminated until negotiations start in earnest so we may as well get on with it.0
