You may well be correct about Marine Le Pen.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

Residing as you do now in Luxembourg, would that increase the likelihood of you returning to the UK since prior to this you have stated you never wish to return?
Or would you perhaps go elsewhere .......... though it is looking likely that you would have to queue for Canada?

    Possibly,I hope not.
If I were a resident of Luxembourg however I`d be more concerned about the far right in my near neighbour France polling around 30-40% than a UK where even the moderate in comparison UKIP can only garner 1 MP in the midst of the Brexit era.

As I have just posted. It is a real worry.

As a foreigner/immigrant there is a particular feeling in the stomach when you (I) read the news AND some of the postings on this thread.

I`m hoping that I`m not coming across as disingenuous.
So much of the anti-Brexit rhetoric is based around alleged racism, xenophobia and TBH imagined far right politics abroad in the UK.
Its important to contrast that with the massive and growing popular support for the real far right parties on mainland Europe.
You don't deny the burgeoning support for fascism on mainland Europe do you?

    Hello Tromking,
I think you don't see what is in front of your eyes.
I see Brexit as a lurch to the right just like the result in USA.
You talk of the rise of the right in Europe as if that is different. I don't see much difference.
Politiciens who win referendums/elections or campaign talking about immigrants and foreigners seem all the same to me.

    Edit,
Yes you are being disengenous, but it's only a forum full of guesses with little real world experience except those that are living it and growing just a little frightened.

That's a very interesting question and is food for thought.

Perhaps you could ask any close by foreigners/immigrants how they are feeling about living and working in the U.K.

Look back at my pre vote posts, I always said we would likely end up with some sort of EU worker quota.

Point is, Brussels can dress this up as a punishment and we will play along, teee hee

Except Brussels has already said that they want free movement of workers/individuals, not a quota. So best we'll get is free movement, provided a host/sponsor has a job offer, and within a week we'll have people sending out fake job offers :j

Our own extreme right is as repugnant as France's or Germany's or any other country for that matter.
No need to be patriotic about it. A turd with a slightly different texture is still a turd and smells just the same.
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

Thank you mayonnaise, hopefully one day you won't have to hide me in your attic!
