If we vote for Brexit what happens

I would buy British where an option is available. I do wonder if E.U. goods go up due to currency in next 3-6 months in the U.K. if U.K. manufactured equivalents will think they can put their trade prices up ? I cannot think of a good example.. in the case of tyres I could say Dunlop but I think they are foreign owned now, you catch my drift though. I just wonder if UK based products are 15-20pct cheaper if they themselevs might see it an opportunity to stick 10pct on for the sake of it. I suppose it depends if they see their market advantage as a thing they will earn more on over and above profiteering and stiffing us.
That would be really annoying.0 -
Computer prices are going up across the board : Fact. 2 places I have previously bought PC's from have increased their prices. Not unexpected of course, The thing is these increases are DIRECTLY caused by impending Brexit.
I am directly worse off because of impending Brexit, you know actual things and actual money I have to pay. Brexit to brexiters will seem much less of a good idea once their pockets are hit. The remainers will just have to fume.
Thanks a lot.
You seem to think that it's all about you. Sorry, old bean, but I really couldn't give a monkeys.0 -
It is a promo, they have one stuck on the shelf they stocked 12 months ago. Likely to be an exception rather than the rule.0

You see this directly affects me, I do apologize for reporting from my own perspective, not. It affects everyone who buys computer, that is a lot of people.
At least this is real instead of the typical "there will be ripples but it will be ok" When Brexiters do not actually know.
And real carries more weight than fantasy in this world mate.
It is laughable really.... that is exactly the kind of commentary you would expect from a Brexit mentality. Caring for oneself only, the irony in your post.
Brexiter says "Sorry, old bean, but I really couldn't give a monkeys.", we never would have guessed !0 -
Apple has increased the prices of its laptop and desktop computers in the UK by hundreds of pounds. One analyst said consumers should expect further price increases. "Apple has to recalibrate prices after significant currency fluctuations, and since the EU referendum, UK prices are out of sync with the dollar," said Patrick O'Brien, analyst at the Verdict Retail consultancy.
"Apple has taken the hit up until now. While price increases won't look good to the consumer, it's difficult to blame Apple. "Once you strip out UK sales tax (VAT) and the currency conversion, the new UK prices could still be viewed as fair."
Apple isn't the first - and won't be the last.
People will pay for collectively voting Brexit - hundreds of pounds more per computer in this case.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

What do you value more - a cheap PC or a more competitive environment for our exporters and home producers?0 -

Problem is that Remainers have this Marmite mentality. Every tiny setback is the direct effect of the Brexit vote in their eyes and everything that goes right would have happened anyway. It really isn't that simple.
I'm quite happy to be called a Brexiter. I happen to believe that detaching ourselves from the dysfunctional, undemocratic monster that the EU has become and that nobody voted for will prove to be the best thing for this country. Nothing that I have heard from the likes of Juncker, Verhofstadt, Tusk etc. has done anything other than convince me of this.0 -
Food will be a right downer cause that will be every week, week on week and definitely hit the poorest the hardest. I am glad I bought 7 packs of 1KG @ £1 of Napolina pasta recently. Should see us through to the end of the sell by date of mid 2018. Hardly the amount between an Apple then and now but it is something.0

Sorry you feel that way about those that don't share your views.
On the other hand, my sole intention now is to protect my own interests. If you don't give a monkeys about that either, then your problem.💙💛 💔0 -

I find it hilarious that there are complaints about the price of the most overpriced products in the world going up because of Brexit.
Like the price of Apple products wasn't an issue before June 23rd.
Apple Sales Director: "Excuse to hike the price, hell yeah!".
Better learn Linux and get yourself a used laptop, will ultimately do the same job.0
