If we vote for Brexit what happens

..but as you were keen to demonstrate earlier many politicians are deceitful liars.
The government will be deciding what people voted for and will let us know what it was in due course. Right now it's a bit hush hush.
The majority of voters, according to the polls, are happy.Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.0 -

I don't recall price fall announcements when the currency often went higher than usual0 -

The issue is not that the government couldn't make tax cuts to match tariff income. The issue is it's a really inefficient thing to do. After £5 has been paid on an import tariff and it's been through the government system there won't be £5 left over to distribute as tax cuts.
The other issue is if there's been a failure in negotiations and the EU are applying, say a 10%, tariff to UK exports there will be howls of displeasure from exporters. Most people would think a 10% tax on German goods was a reasonable (if misguided) response. The UK government 'subsiding' German imports whilst simultaneously insuring companies like Nissan to subsidise the tax bills of German consumers. That'll go down like a lead balloon.
The more I think about the more disastrous I think trading under WTO terms would be.0 -
Glad it amuses you.
However there are 26 other E.U. member states and I thought they were supposed to be off to New York ?
It's hardly worth replying to these poor remain rebuttles, so weak they are.
MIFID 2 and BASEL 4 rules are due to be implemented. The last thing Bankers want!
Sorry but too many remoaners just don't understand business
Also what go getter Banker wants to go live in Germanys 5th largest city, a town of 750,000? There would be a massive loss of 'culture clustering effect' and 'business clustering effect', not to mention their life long face to face social networks from which they glean trading snippets0 -
Computer prices are going up across the board : Fact. 2 places I have previously bought PC's from have increased their prices. Not unexpected of course, The thing is these increases are DIRECTLY caused by impending Brexit.
I am directly worse off because of impending Brexit, you know actual things and actual money I have to pay. Brexit to brexiters will seem much less of a good idea once their pockets are hit. The remainers will just have to fume.
Thanks a lot.0 -
Danone will still want us buying their Yoghurt, Prosseco their bubbly and Audi their cars.
NOTHING WILL CHANGE, trade wise.
Lets imagine a date of say 30/March 2019. The French people are told prices are going to take a jump as Hollande wants to add tariffs. Moreover, French contracts start getting cancelled as British supermarkets turn away from them due to tariffs and barriers. French workers start getting laid off, Farmers going bust due to loss of UK contracts
Really, really?
Well really, really, if the UK has a very smooth exit, others will follow. The EU does not relish that either, so far from sanctioning the UK, I think the issue is leakage if the UK exit is smooth.
Take the blinkers off for a minute and ask yourself Qui Bono?0 -

Happy about what? Waiting around for the government to tell them what they voted for on June 23rd?0 -

I don't know if many, or any of us have changed our minds about Brexit. I'm pretty certain that many brexiters voted as a two fingers up to the Establishment protest. Perhaps these voters comprised a large proportion of the four million who signed the petition for another referendum?
I'm pretty certain that many remainers only voted so after being frightened half to death with the constant lies being peddled from the remain camp where we would experience just about every catastophe known to man if we voted to leave.
(Happy to admit the Brexit camp also peddled lies and half truths)
The fact is we can spin your argument 180 degrees..........
I also think the establishment got what they deserved and I believe they now understand that they can't take the public for granted especially with the advent of social media, smart phones etc but most people didn't vote Brexit to give the establishment a kicking.
People en masse voted with a view to the long term and with nothing coming from the EU on what its long term plan was going to be people decided to leave..
It really was that simple for most people. I'd be happy to hear you opinion on what the long term plan for the EU should be because even the EU don't have a clue.0
