No one told Daniel Hannon then :-)

It's true that Daniel Hannon held that position. However, I can't think of any other highly prominent Leaver who shared his view.

The latest Hometrack cities index suggests that London house prices in the last quarter recorded the lowest growth for 20 months - just as the rest of the country appears to be shrugging off any impact on housing confidence from Brexit.

Hometrack says average house price growth in London over the three months to the end of September totalled 0.9 per cent. This is the lowest quarterly growth rate since January 2015 when fears of a potential housing bubble, a tightening of mortgage credit and concerns over the introduction of a mansion taxed gripped the market.

Those views exist....It's no wonder Poles don't want to live there. That and this:-

Looking at the map there is 3 very vulnerable EU states with sizable Russian populations. Hardly surprising the EU wants an army.

And hardly surprising that large numbers of Poles and Lithuanians come to the UK.....I'd be off like a shot too!

Interesting looking at the analysis of the Witney by-election. This was a Remain seat.
to replace David Cameron, held on the same day, Robert Courts held the seat for the Conservatives. The Lib Dems, fourth in the constituency in the general election last year, surged to second place with a 19% swing. Labour dropped to third.
The result was still a comfortable win for Courts, a barrister and local councillor, but his tally was more than 17,000 votes behind those cast for the former prime minister in 2015.

Meanwhile in Strood South - where Emily Thornberry insulted White Van men - it just went Conservative.

Very few leave campaigners mentioned leaving the Single market as a means of controlling immigration or retaining sovereignty as they rightly perceived that it may raise serious economic considerations. The phrase 'cake and eat it' readily springs to mind :-)

If this is the approach of a single small Belgium region. What hope is there for the UK to negotiate a trade deal with the EU......
A trade deal between the EU and Canada is on the brink of collapse after talks between Canada and a Belgian region broke down on Friday.
Canada's Trade Minister Chrystia Freeland left the talks in Brussels, saying the EU was "not capable" of signing a trade deal even with Canada.
Talks on the deal began in 2009. Belgium, the only country blocking agreement, needed consent from the regional parliament of Wallonia.

From UKIP on a turnout of 16.74% . Looks like White van man has spoken. The winning candidate received 724 votes.

Apart from Daniel Hannon I can't think of one prominent Leave campaigner who didn't say that wanted the UK to take back control of our trade deals - that means leaving the single market. So, they were all saying they wanted the UK to leave the single market and the customs union....

    Because Canada is, well... Canada.

Should the UK eventually leave the EU, the UK would be the largest export market for the EU, larger even than the USA, or so I read.

I would expect massive pressure exerted on the UK's version of Wallonia if that comes to pass. The European economies would suffer without a decent trade deal with the UK, not so much with Canada.
