Whilst the EU squabbled over the Balkans war, we and the Americans went in first.

Whilst the EU prevaricated over West African Ebola, we got straight down there and opened field hospitals.

When war hit the Ivory Coast, we went in

When Somali pirates made the seas dangerous, only the Royal Navy go tit properly sorted

Time and again when quakes and typhoons hit, it's the Brits and British citizens charity that steps up to the plate

Once more you have a heightened sense of British impotence, and an odd sense of the EU's capacity to act with speed and determination

Just for the record..... Brexmongers - you do realize that one day quite soon you are going to have to say "We are sorry we were wrong, Brexit has in fact destroyed the last bit of value the U.K. provided to its inhabitants and to the world."

It's coming, day by day, don't live in denial any longer just be honest to yourselves. Brexit was wishful thinking and in fact a hopeless, misguided decion based on manipulation, hatred, fear and being the least sharp tools in the box.

You are just making me laugh and pity you now. Gain back a bit of credibility and unite the country again, get on .gov and start a Brexmongers against Brexit petition.

Do the right thing and you can stop wallowing in your self made stew of trashing the U.K.

    Seriously...

Are you being paid to spout claptrap on here?

It would be stupid to stop co-operation.

Where has all the rational thought gone. So we don't want to be in political union? Doesn't mean we cannot work together on policiing, anti-terrorism, mutual defence, etc...

    You forgot something.

    Sentiment.

Does the sentiment of E.U. member states politicians seem friendly, accomodating, reasonable ?

Of course not. We made people feel "We don't want anything to do with you!" just as Clapton reiterated as clear as can be, small mindedness like that can and will get you into big trouble. Cataclysmic trouble.

I keep going back to peace. Don't think because we enjoyed many years of peace that that norm will continue. Things have just changed, big time, on levels that Remainers or Brexmongers cannot even understand orpredict right now.

You wanted different, for the sake of different, in the face of common sense and relative comfort, prosperity and peace. You got it and you are now going to be fairly and squarely blamed for it. It's on your head.

Well first it has to do with Brexitmongers being massively blown up about our capabilities in various areas. We don't seem to be able to take 13 refugees now. Hardly a demonstration of power and wealth ! (or moral thought)

We are a little island with a big nose. We sent relatively speaking a canoe and dinghy down to the channel to watch Russian vessels pass through. We are living in dangerous times. May is "What are we going to do about the Russians to the E.U. parliament ?" The answer is F.A. basically unless we all want to die.

We could be invaded and over run in 7 days or so. So get a perspective including at Brexmonger level. Maybe if Trump gets in and NATO is disbanded we will be in real danger.

It helps Brexmongers gain perspective on what our diminuitive political, military, global influence is IMO.

I am not talking it down, from your blown up delusional perspective I might be, just explaining things as they are.

Yet another 'Ethno-masochist' unable to comprehend the UK outwith the EU but still a fully paid up member of NATO.
The first day of any Russian invasion would result in several Russian cities ceasing to exist. Thats how things are.

Arguing to remain in the EU for defence from Russian invasion...

Also wants us to get rid of Trident?

Wouldn't be the first time we've seen liberal left hypocrisy.

Edit: On that note it has reached epic proportions lately. The whole social justice warrior movement, egalitarian dogma in a world that is by scientific definition - not equal, the stop the war coalition that is conspicuous by its absence, I'm sure others can add to the list of liberal left ridiculous hypocrisy and hysteria.
