Nonsense, lots of people trade with the USA, even one of my Brothers, no issues, in Fact in some ways easier than the overly bureaucratic EU
Again, no-one is saying trade isn't possible.
In what way is US trade easier than EU? I'm curious.
Because from my experience, as a consumer, it always results in customs declarations and me getting charged £8 + duties to receive. Obviously the per-unit costs will go down if I'm importing in bulk, but it's still clearly easier and cheaper for me to order from the EU than the US.0 -

Well, for example, there are 300,000 French bankers in London - I guess they're not too happy.0 -

UK and US are one another's biggest investment partners, with 2 million jobs resulting from this trade alone, all with NO trade deal.
We're fully aligned and compliant with EU rules, I think you will find trade will be straight forwards after we leave. It really wont be anything to worry about, people soon adapt, but the opportunities are vast0 -

I notice you didn't actually answer the question. How does your brother find it easier to trade with the US than the EU?
I'm asking because I genuinely don't know; my experience has been the opposite.0 -

Oh yeah?
https://www.statista.com/statistics/298358/uk-financial-sector-banking-sector-employment-in-london/
There were only 143,600 employees of all nationalities in the banking sector at the end of 2015.0 -

If I were from an EU Country living and working in London I would not be very happy as my future post Brexit is uncertain. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -

Of the +/- 130000 French nationals living in the U.K. Half of them moved to London for a good job and goood pay. Their children could be educated in London at a French school and life was good.
Now they and their family worry about what their post Brexit future holds. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -

I do not know - he's always ordered stock for his business from pretty much all over the globe and has never once mentioned any particular difficulties dealing with non EU.
Incidentally, British electronic music firm MIDAS has won the rights to build a German synth. Gotta love news like this. This carp that we can only import is an urban myth.0 -

A similar sob story could be told of those living in Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Leicestershire, West Midlands, Nottinghamshire (and more I'm sure) of being born there and having to compete with an ever increasing number of people for jobs, school places for their kids, GP's appointments, ambulances, housing.
Someone somewhere is always negatively impacted by change.
If energy were clean and free, it'd be great for the world, but bad for anyone involved in markets where energy costs money to produce, distribute, etc.., quite a large industry by all accounts.0 -

Life really sucks in France doesn't it? Most of them actually moved because of eye watering rates of tax in France.0
