Completely avoidable. If only Heath hadn't taken us into to the rotten structure in the first place.
Well we did have a referendum back in 1975 that endorsed the decision.
Of course, back then all proper lefties where in the Leave camp. They wanted no truck with the Capitalist Club. They appear to be more confused these days.0 -

Europe made us relatively rich, healthy and educated.
It's was a great move joining Europe. We should have done it earlier.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0 -
"Well we were going to give it to the NHS, honest" but the EU still wants the cash

"Matthew Elliott, Vote Leave’s chief executive, claimed 'we will be able to trade with the single market on free-trade terms, without paying into the system or accepting freedom of movement.'"

Always tough to know who to believe, a brexit crank or the President of the EU:rotfl:
Brexit has been project lies from day 1. The EU will be determined to make an example of us economically to prevent others from going the same way.
We will not just lose financially we will also lose many of the social advances that the European Parliament has brought us for ordinary people and their families. The govt. will lurch further and further right to counteract social unrest.
The Brexit mob have control over the Tories and ensure that free information is squeezed. Take TM's statement about overstaying foreign students. It is less than 1% of the total. They are refusing to release the Home Office report even under freedom of information ( and that will be one of the first to go) Foreign students are worth £11bn to the economy. Canada is already exploiting our unfriendliness!
We need to take a hard look at the players in the Brexit team and their lamentable commitment to decency and honesty and contempt for ordinary people. Time and time again they are economical with the truth and the impact is disguised by the media.
13 million did not vote in the referendum and this is one of our problems. Many people just don't care about politics wanting life to be managed so that they are ok. As the price of petrol goes up and their shopping is affected then the message will start to be realised.
And to think it was just to secure our borders, which we had anyway! Didn't Germany in the 1930's blame the Jews for all their ills?:;)0 -
Brexit has really stuck it to the Europeans.
The Euro is tanking. Their once proud companies are lining up to escape the hell of the eurozone and relocate to the safe haven of England. And the entire world is laughing at their stupidity.
Oh no wait. That's all happening to us.0 -
On radio just now it was announced Sky are enjoying a profits surge due to transferring European profits back into Sterling.
Also a retail expert said people are wondering why when the pound was much higher against other currencies, Unilever did not pass on cuts to consumers
Desperate:rotfl:0
