It's now with an underwriter - the valuation fees have been taken out of my account. The nervous 24 hour wait to hear back now :eek:0

Had our valuation done yesterday, got the report back today. Its been valued £5,000 under what were buying it for.
We are now in talks to get them to either lower the price by £5,000 or at least meet us in the middle.
We don't have a spare £5k lying about

Oh no,
hopefully they will re-negotiate the price with you and you get the result you are after, no update from me as I'm still waiting for pay to be confirmed, luckily our valuation came back in excess of our offer price, just hope my work confirm my overtime properly or I'm screwed, they won't lend me what I need without my overtime being taken in 0 -
Hi Guys,
Update today from my mortgage advisor, I presume it's a good sign if the underwriter is asking questions rather than a straight decline?
"I have spoken with them today, and clarified that *wife* is returning to work July/August, full time in her salary of £**k. Also confirmed there is no childcare due to shift patterns and grandparents.
This has all been referred back to the underwriter, so we will hopefully get a response tomorrow (asking further questions can only be seen as a good thing - I hope!) "0 -
Exciting stuff, I would say (in my opinion I'm no expert, far from it as you can see from my nervous wreck posts lol) it is a good sign they are asking questions as it probably just little loose ends they are looking to tie up... Good luck hopefully you can crack open the celebratory champers tomorrow.
Hoping to hear they have my employers reference tomorrow then mine too will be with the underwriters..0 -

Just hoping! We would be scheduled to exchange on the 22nd Feb two days after my birthday. I hope you get your reference sorted, can't believe how long that has taken?!?
If all goes to plan we will be sharing a virtual glass of champagne together0 -
Ahh we are hoping for exchange around 20th Feb lol, solicitors are all on the ball we have the contracts signed all ready just literally waiting on the mortgage offer and good to go (I think)0

Atleast you've had the valuation done, we've just had the fees taken out but not instructed yet.0

Got my Mortgage Offer today

Valuation done yesterday which I had to wait 10 days for it to be done.
Think my case has been very simple as only ever had to provide Payslips and we had no defaults or anything odd about it. Only thing was we were borrowing right on the limit of what they would lend which was 5x Salary0 -
Been told we should get an answer today, wasn't looked at by an underwriter yesterday.
But previous to that they had asked for two bits of information on separate occasions
Please hold thumbs for us - Feels so close yet so far. I'm hoping that because its close to the weekend they will be a bit more happier
