Ah, I see where you are coming from now, however two separate accounts may not be possible as we haven't anymore current accounts spare.
I closed the old Lloyds Vantage & TSB Enhance accounts to try and "tidy up" my online accounts pages not thinking about future switching opportunities like this.0 -

Not too sure if I'm eligible. Have read through the T's & C's but need your thoughts please? I already have an M& S current account, which I opened without switching anything. It's never been used. And nothing is set up on it. Got it purely for the regular saver which I'm ashamed to say I didn't get round to opening either! So would I be best to close this dormant account and then apply for a new one, using the correct switching method, of course. Probably got an old current account I can use! Is there any reason why I wouldn't get the gift card and monthly £10 added to it, if I was accepted for new current account?
Thanks for your help.0 -

Or keep the dormant one and open a second one and switch into this to qualify.0 -

now M/S have granted us a joint one,
I still don't think I/we can use HER Lloyds A/c, as I am the first A/c name on the A/c.and the main earner, that's probably why it was granted ???
,
. I could open one in the mean time to switch,,or use one of my other ones that are full, I will just let H/fax go,and give up the £5;; I think ??..
, we only switched into it about 6 months ago..M/s are so keen:
never mind," a bird in the hand":).0 -
I applied on Friday and have not had as much as an acknowledgement of my application never mind a decision/telephone "interview". Well, I am not impressed at all with that. Here I am, offering them the opportunity to handle my money and they haven't acknowledged it.
I have been with my bank for thirty years and more than qualify for the income they require. I own my house outright and have no debt whatsoever.
I will either move on to another bank or stick with what I have. I can live without £220. I know they are probably inundated due to publicity but, in these days of technology, an acknowledgement would be nice.0 -

Exactly the same for me. Both my wife and I have opened TSB accounts over the weekend and received new account details by email within minutes. If M&S don't want to play ball then I'll move on to the next one as I still have plenty more to try.0
