Got a few nice bits in the Yarmouth store, including some patchouli & clove body cream & bath oil sets for a friend who loves patchouli. I also picked up some Lynx sets which work out so much cheaper than if you buy their contents individually. Still cheaper to get the aftershave in B & M, even when it is reduced in Boots.

My purchase has been processed, but as per the above poster, this is not always fulfilled.

I usually manage to get three of the larger sets (mum and sisters Christmas extras) in the few days following the 70% sale start date... would really like the Champneys hampers for them this year though!

Its a cross fingers and wait and see...
  • Well that was quite painless! Me and DD there for 8.30 just as doors opening. Only about another half dozen other people waiting so all very civilised! Quite a decent selection of stuff, compared to last year's abysmal selection! I spent just over £100 but had a 10% off so down to just over £90, plus quite an assortment of bonus points. Well pleased as lots of birthday presents were included too. DD spent around £130 and then had her 10% off as well. There were a lot more people looking as we were leaving but everybody was very good natured. Pleased DD railroaded me into it, as I really didn't feel like bothering this year!

  • Got what I wanted online at around 9.30am, all confirmed, no problem. Very happy with that. :)

    :(

Tactic I use is to bookmark the items that are on my wish list with separate tabs and then keep hitting refresh for each one every once and a while... tedious and probably borderline psychotic... but it can pay off, good luck!

Thanks for the info, but you know what, I think I'll save my money this year. I've managed to get some good bargains from other retailers and don't have a lot to buy for anyway. Sometimes with these sales I think I just get a bit swept along in the hype and buy stuff without really needing to.

I think this is the year I finally use every random toiletry item up that I've had for years instead of buying more!

I'm not really into getting/giving toiletry gift sets so bypassed all of that section straight for the baby clothes as I'm due baby #1 in 6 weeks - picked up some lovely bits, all great quality for the price so I'm pleased [smile] Came home and saw some of the things online I liked but were OOS in the right sizes in store and tried to order but was then told they were sold out. Oh well, this baby probably doesn't need anything else!

Same for me everyone was looking at the toiletry gift sets, no one looking at the baby & children's clothes .
All clothes in sales were 70% off.
There were vests, sleep suits, coats, cardigans, dresses , socks, t-shirts & trousers lots of swim suits UPV40+.
Got some as gifts for my little nephews.

Mum and I just back home from Bath, went down before 8 and by opening time about 50 people at each of the two doors, had great fun, mum and I stock up on presents for all the family for the year, and spent about £300 each, but got loads, of what we wanted......had great fun chatting and catching up with people we only ever see at the sale and dad stands with the bags, and other ladies use him as well as a bag guard...lol...we went to the Salvation Army cafe after for breakfast, and mum and both used our points vouchers to full advantage and gained over £30 each in points......hope everyone else had a good time...xx

I was in Bath today too! Hi :) Got there late due to school run this year. Previously I've visited the boots sale 41 weeks preganant and with small toddler with me!
