I had no email from TCB
The T&C doesn't say you need to switch. You will only fail to learn if you do not learn from failing.
Save 2015 - #097 £600/£7000
CC Outstanding #1: £2544 02/2017 #2: £398 09/2015 #3: £363 08/20150 -
I've also received the email from Top Cashback today.
From the promotional Terms and Conditions:
Cashback will only be paid to customers who take out the product and transfer to it as their main account
So it doesn't mention completing a CASS but to me those terms infer you have to?
Just waiting to hear The Co-Op now! It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -

In the meantime did anyone take a snapshot of the Ts&Cs prior to 11am today? Given what a mess they seem to have been, I woudn't want any sneaky post-contractual switching terms to get snuck in.
Incidentally I got the TCB mail as well. Not that I submitted any sort of 'support ticket' that they were actually responding to. Reads to me like a balls up that was caught quickly but where they are honouring the amount for anyone that had already replied.
Anyway, time for me to move on to M&S... those vouchers will pay for the party food next Christmas0 -
YAY - accepted for my Coop account. Let the fun begin.0

See post #3.
Yes - the point about not being eligible if you have to follow up on your application by phone or in branch would rule out everyone. You cannot complete the transfer and switch entirely online - as the Co OP require you do do this by phone or in branch.
I doubt they would be this devious - but technically no one can comply with the terms of the £157.50 offer as it was worded!0 -

Yep but it does not say you have to switch, it says 'transfer to it' which is more ambiguous and could be read as manually transferring yourself thus no need to follow up on phone or in branch.0 -
Email from Topcashback at 14.47 today - "Thank you for your application to The Cooperative Bank Current Account cashback offer. Due to the overwhelming success of this offer, The Cooperative Bank have decreased the cashback amount from 11am today (05/01/2016).
We are contacting you to assure you that if your application meets the terms & conditions listed on TopCashback from 10am on Monday 4th January until Tuesday 5th January at 11am the cashback offer for £157.50 (Plus Members) or £151.50 (Classic Members) will be paid after the validation period."
I too, hope a "switch" is not necessary but how will we know the answer to this question?0 -

I assume transfer to logically means switch - I doubt many people would want to waste time transferring their main account manually. Very risky as well!0 -

I am going to wait until the time periods referred to in T&C has elapsed (or sooner if they decline my cashback) and presuming nothing has been paid will then question why not, expected response being that I have not switched, with my response being there was no such requirement in T&C etc.....and then take it up with Coop accordingly if they do not budge. (And Plan B will be to say well I can still switch now then given was no timescale limit in the T&C.)
That said, I am yet to receive my approved email from Coop so could be jumping the gun!0
