The t&c's have changed slightly, and now appear on both pages. Not any clearer though!

Co-op Bank were offering £15.75 through TCB, for several weeks up to 28th December when it was increased to £105 until 31st with as far as I remember no requirement to Switch to get the cashback.

On the 1st January it fell back to £15.75 until 4th when the OP discovered it had gone up to £157.50:eek: What a difference a decimal point makes!

Today down to £42 for TCB Plus members which is what it was for most of last year.

Question is will the applications that tracked at £157.50 be honoured if the amount is 'locked in' when it tracks? Then again it could have been a genuine offer at that moment.

And it does seem that with the current offer there is a requirement to Switch to the Co-op as a main account. This is done on the phone if you choose to Switch, after Co-op open the account and send the paperwork about a week after application. They send a confirmation email of acceptance subject to a few checks the day after online application IME. This email has a WEB reference not OLA! But it looks like a generic reference for their use so probably the same on all the emails so there is no reference apart from you, your address, your application etc but don't worry as soon as the acceptance letter arrives its got account number and sort code on it.

Account appears in online banking within a week of application if accepted for the account and Debit card and PIN arrive last:D

My cash back tracked overnight and appeared in my account as of this morning.

If something is too good to be true it usually is but with the £100 from Halifax, potential cash back from HSBC and also potential cash back from the Co-Op I'm going to cycle my accounts for a few months and then take a look at First Direct.

Just tried querying on the phone with them- not to push, but to ensure my cumbersome address was correctly recorded in the right format so that I'd be identified correctly in their credit search (my address on the application form at the end, before having to click "submit", was severely truncated by the system)

The lad couldn't find my application at all!! I'll have to entrust them when they say they'll let me know in in 5 days, as per their email after application

Not having any application number would seem to be an issue

I do hope this isn't going to affect all of us!
  • My £151.50 has been tracked yesterday afternoon and I have been approved for Co-op account today despite that I already got another one :)

Despite my surreal phone call this morning, where a lad told me there was no trace of my application, I've just received an email to say I've been approved.

Delighted as I'd switched my previous account with Co-op in March 2015, after getting that incentive....

Had another email from the Coop, accepting my application. This email also contains a WEB reference. No mention of any mandatory switch.

I had no email from TCB
