Mavvymoo I don't know how you do it.
How many shops did you go in to get this haul??
When I have a child free weekend next I am going to try, I think I might pick another town though as I am sceptical about where I live having any treasure.

How lovely to have all those new things for £16.45! Hope you enjoy them

    Me again!
In addition to the bonkers straw bag I mentioned earlier in the week, I have now bought a 1980s vintage dress on eBay for £15.

So I'm at £379.98 for the year....

Even though this is less than I would have spent, I can see it is a lot more than others are spending AND they are getting more for their money than I am.

I did sell a skirt my daughter never wore and one of his pictures though.. £35 in the kitty.

I can feel my clothes shopping urges creeping back and I need to stop them NOW!

Mavvy You truly are the Queen of Charity Shops. I thought I was pretty good but "I'm not worthy" by comparison :rotfl:

There is 6 charity shops in this small (not posh at all town)
and my items came from 4 of them
1, Bassini top on its own/ rspca
    2 Both the cardis /Break
    3,skirt/ local charity
4 dress and sandals/ local charity

I think the local one off shops get the best stuff as they are close to local peoples hearts and they know their donations are going to stay in the shop and count to whatever they are raising funds for.

I can now just scan the rails without touching anything and if I like the look of it I can just feel it and know if its any good.

If it is I check it all over and hold it at a distance as sometimes you can spot things you didnt notice.
I check all the labels if they are washed out I put it back.

Then I will try it on if I know its really good make and will sell well I dont bother to try it on.

I did know at a glance the dress was expensive as the fabric and design and cut is just quality, and think the hologram gave it away some what :rotfl:

Good luck with your searches there is still many bargains to be had out there. I used to sell a lot of Ebay so when I go charity shopping its almost like work :rotfl:But enjoyable work ;)

I must be doing something wrong. Or live in the wrong area. Have never found anything wonderful in a charity shop :(
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

:T That sounds like me - everyone comments on how they never find any bargains when they go looking in charity shops. I rarely leave one empty-handed, even though I should really!!

I'm not really keeping track of totals but I got an Indigo floaty top in the M&S sale last night, was £35 (never in a million years going to pay that), down to £14. Bought a new bra, needed, and a pair of tan sandals - not "needed" but have decided I'm going to stick with a quality pair that goes with everything and get rid of all the other daft pairs that I've got. My hatred of shoe shopping means I usually pay full price for them as I buy as and when I see something I like, unless it does happen to be sale-time.
