Completely Crazy Clothes Challenge 2016

Ooooh some nice spring bargains and everyone seems to be really considering the things they're buying.
I had a little spend last week from the charity shop. Nice white t shirt with tags on saying £35, bought for £3.50, blue and grey Sandwich skirt £3.50 and long purple Phase Eight cardi for £4 so not a bad haul for £11. I've put some more stuff on Fleabay and when they sell at the weekend I have my eye on some black jeans and a purple and black Masai top.
I really need some comfy shoes for work in case it is ever going to be time to shed my winter boots :cool:Crazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -

Still haven't had my big clear-out yet, but hubby is away next weekend and there's some of tomorrow (although having a run out with my Mum hopefully) - my last ebay sale didn't seem to go too badly so might give that a go and try to recoup some of those outgoings.
Two skirts bought in M&S are going back, so that'll be £35 back into the bank which will help my overdraft out a bit.SPCNo.18 #20 (17 £562.86 16 £678; 15 £1120.92; 14 £416.53; 13 £191.52; 12 £260.48; 11 £480.95; 10 £682.31; 9 £442.64)

Hello everyone,
Just popping by to report that I am still well within my budget and have only spent £72 on clothes so far this year;)
I think I have got out of the habit of clothes buying and I don't know whether that is a good thing or a bad:p

Ellieseleven - it's a good thing, when you really need something you will recognise it. I think the only thing I have actually ever worn out over the last twenty years is black ankle boots. Everything else has been a 'want' not a 'need'. And then it goes to the charity shop when I am 'bored' of it. I feel quite horrified about how much money I have wasted over the years, trying to raise my self esteem (and failing).
I think having the house to focus on at the moment is helping me not to shop for clothes and shoes, as I know I need any spare cash for that. I still have moments when I think I want a treat, but I try to come on here and read some diaries instead.
I've got bids on a dress, a skirt and a picture (was his) this week so at the moment stand to make £81 towards the home improvement fund! I won't miss any of those items either. Still need about another £1200 so got to keep going!
The treadmill is coming on Saturday so hopefully the 10k steps a day can start then. Along with eating better. And then I will have some new things to wear from my own wardrobe. Need to find some motivation from somewhereFashion on the Ration 2020 - 5/66 spent0 -

More spends in charity shops yesterday. I'm now up to £22.74, but three of the six items I bought I don't actually like on. Never mind, I've had my fix of clothes shopping for another few months now.Spend less now, work less later.0

I spent £14.99 on a lovely Kew top from TK Maxx. Having looked at my summer wardrobe I've realised I am very short of both trousers and tops, so I maybe spending a bit more. This will probably lead to me going over budget by the end of the year. Unfortunately I seem to have put on weight since last summer and whilst I would like to lose it, I can't rely on it. I can't spend the summer being uncomfortable and bursting out of my clothes! I did get rid of a couple of t-shirts which were out of shape and seen better days.Mortgage Dec 2015 - £21545 Apr 2016 - £19930

Hello everyone!
Had an up and down weekend. The treadmill didn't come so that means I haven't started exercising or thinking about losing weight. I have eaten for England this weekend and cried a lot. I wish I would stop crying. It doesn't seem to be getting any better.
I'm going to have a little treat tomorrow, a bag for the summer that I wanted last year and didn't get. I saw it today and it made me smile as much as it did last year when I wanted it.
I know retail therapy isn't the answer but I feel like I have waited a year for this to make sure I really want it.
Sold a dress and skirt this weekend on eB*y and made £106. Spent half on a steam mop and put the rest in the home improvements fund. Also went to Ikea and got some photo frames, and a shelf and lampshade for the tiny 'gym' room.
Need to focus a bit more and pull myself together. I keep thinking I am going to wake up from this nightmare and find it was all a bad dream. I think I might be a control freak, and the fact that I can't control his behaviour now is really making me go a bit mad!
Anyway sorry to be a misery, you are all doing so well and I need to get myself to some charity shops to unearth some of these bargains you keep finding. Do you find you have to go many times before you find something? Maybe I haven't been being patient enoughFashion on the Ration 2020 - 5/66 spent0
