Completely Crazy Clothes Challenge 2016

Well done to all the little or no spenders!
Clarey008, how is your ex planning to maintain a relationship with his son? And why does he think he doesn't need feeding or clothing now that he is 16?? I feel indignant on your behalf!
Congrats to somerandom on the new role! Wonder if you treated yourself today in the charity shops?
I took my bag to the menders today, it will cost £30 for the new zip which I'm not going to count in the challenge as I agree with somerandom that it is in the spirit of the challenge to mend something. Plus it was a £460 bag that I do use a LOT. It was a present to me 3.5 years ago from the revolting ex but I'm not binning a perfectly good bag just because it was paid for by a moron!
My ebay dress got £72.20 which I was pleased with since I paid £60 a few years ago and haven't worn it since the year I bought it. I think I only wore it twice even then. So that's £72.20 straight into the home improvements fund.
Hope you have all had a lovely Saturday!Fashion on the Ration 2020 - 5/66 spent0 -
Thanks Vintagegirl
After giving myself full permission to treat myself I didn't find one thing I wanted in the Charity Shops or TK Maxx so my budget remains in tact (but not through the want of trying :rotfl:) Great result on your eBay dress :T

Afternoon all...1st spend of the challenge. £5.50 on socks! What a life I lead!
Hope everyone had a good weekend so far and a rest of the weekend too.

I've woken up this morning and realised I did something bad last night.
I have ordered a leather jacket that will take me over my entire annual budget.
I know it will have to go back and I am disappointed in myself.
I know what happened though - I logged on to the computer and all his photos have synced over the weekend and I was confronted with image after image of his weekend away with her...
I deleted them all straightaway but it was upsetting.
Then I was thinking about a work trip I have this week, not feeling very good about myself, and obviously justified a confidence boosting treat. But now I've woken up I know it was wrong and I can't afford it anyway.Feeling stupid and like a complete failure

No you're not - you know it was a blip, you know why it happened and you are planning to return the jacket. That's a big step along the route of money saving2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

£16 on a denim jacket in primarni. It's getting a bit too warm to continue wearing leather jackets all the time always (much to my annoyance) so needed something a little thinner.
Unfortunately I only had £3.53 for the month, so I'm over (as expected), but still have £163.53 left for the yearAqua 0/1850 Cap.One 0/450 Vanquis 0/500 HSBC 0/100

Vintagegirl - I totally agree with Floss - you were feeling upset, you did something to make yourself feel better, you thought better of it and you're planning to resolve it by sending the jacket back. In what world is that a "complete failure"? No more beating yourself up!! Really well done for posting !! xxxShifting my energy for 20200

Come and join me on the naughty step. Even if I just took back the stuff I had bought only this week, I would still be waaaaaay over budget by at least £500  I need to reassess next years budget, or just not set one. I started with good intentions but it all went wrong as soon as I went in Cos,SPC9 #125 - £816.85

*hand shoots up* I agree too.
Is there a way you can ensure the PC doesn't snyc with ex's phone (I don't mean throwing it at him as tempting as it might be)
32b3in2013 whoops to the (big) spend - but is it on things you love and will wear? I found even though I don't set myself a budget I think more about the clothes I buy and try to ensure its things I will get lots of wear out of....errr..emphasis on 'try'Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I do love all the things I have bought. In the past I would spend money on lots of items and never wear them, this year I have been buying more wisely, thinking about whether new items will go with stuff I already have. I bought a shirt, which arrived today, and it doesn't really go with what I thought it would, so it's going back. In the past I would have kept it and it would have eventually ended up on eBay.SPC9 #125 - £816.85
