Haven't spent anything on clothes this month and walked 18 miles today. I know its not as impressive as you runners but I'm training for the moonwalk and that's the furthest I've done yet so I'm pleased.

Hope your weekend is going ok without the kids Vintagegal. My ex has barely seen my son for weeks but I'm sure it will be strange when he does go there.

Wow! 18 miles is marvellous. I think the most I have walked in one day is around 12 -13 miles.
No spends for me this week.

Evening all - have been AWOL for a while.

Hope everyone is OK. Need to catch up on all the posts. But suffice to say, not spent an penny as yet apart from those spent on the HM gift card.

Apart from good work trousers and a spring summer jacket, nothing on the list.

Hope that everyone had a good weekend.

Wow That sounds like my kind of sale. I think I would have snapped up the Fossil bag as I already have one and they are so pricey but good control for leaving it for someone else ;)

It wasn't easy Mavvy - I love Fossil bags too. I haven't thought about it too much since which I think is a good sign :)

Clarey - well done on walking 18 miles. It's an achievement. A couple of years ago I did the Thames Path Challenge - one of the best things I've ever done. Really good that you are taking the training seriously. :T

Thanks Kerri gt and Somerandom. The walk is May 16th, I feel more confident after doing 18 miles, last week was 16 and I found that harder strangely. Next week we are attempting 20.

Thanks Clarey008, it was a tough weekend to be honest, I miss them so much when they are not here. They popped back on Saturday to collect his car and neither of the children wanted to go back with him. It was heartbreaking. I said to them 'Daddy loves you and wants to spend time with you too' when every bit of me was thinking 'YES STAY!!!' He just stood there being useless, saying nothing. I didn't realise before how I was doing all of the thinking in that relationship.
Think I got myself into a bit of a state and then was sick yesterday.
Anyway the children are back now and he is going on a weekend away with his secretary next weekend, so I won't be worrying that we might bump into them.
It must be tough for you Clarey008 if your ex isnt seeing your son. I hope he is paying you something. Maybe I should be grateful that I am getting maintenance and that he seems to want to see them. I can't understand people not wanting to see their children, if I was doing what my ex is and only seeing them 2 days out of 14, I couldn't even cope with that.

Haven't spent any money on clothes or shoes etc. I do need to get my zip replaced on a handbag though, does that need to come out of this budget? It is an expensive handbag so is worth repairing.

Vintagegirl I personally wouldn't count the zip repair as it's avoiding you spending money and is consistent with the spirit of the challenge.

I feel for you re:children going to stay with your ex. I remember how difficult those early days were after I split from husband - I used to be in bits when DS went over to his for the weekend especially when he got a serious girlfriend. I eventually learned that what worked for me was to try my best not to think about what they were all doing together, focus on myself for those weekends - (the gym was my saviour) - and to not ask too many questions when DS got back (not easy).

You will find your way - Hugs to you too Clarey x
