Pixtotts - I love your friend's party idea ! My Mum always kept everything for best too - she could never understand how I could buy something then immediately wear it.

Nearly start of a new week in the office and my aim this week is to accessorise a bit more so I don't get bored with my existing clothes.Mortgage Dec 2015 - £21545 Apr 2016 - £19930

Being self employed is brilliant for the freedom! I've never really had a proper job (well 1 working nights for royal mail), I went self employed pretty much straight from uni. So my wardrobe has never contained "work wear". Some days I wear crazy combinations, others I don't even get dressed out of PJ's (that is a goal this year to get dressed every day lol!). It's brilliant, I discovered a couple months ago I can't dye over my salon highlights, however wash in wash out colours do work, so I've been pink and blue and I currently have bright purple hair.....
xNice to see you kerriI also have those leggings and the Brighton rock ones :rotfl:I love them and such good quality. Well done on the 1/2 marathon at least you stood out from the crowd
Any gym or runners on this thread DO NOT look at this link or your budget will be blown in Jan :rotfl:

Lol! Can't believe we bough the same patternI did like the oil slick ones too but the owner of the yoga studio I go to got in with those first and I thought it might look a tad odd if I rocked up with the same ones.

But hey - I've taken the plunge now!!! I can really understand the all-day-PJ temptationbut there is something about getting showered & dressed in the morning (even if no-one will see you all day) that sets an intention for the day, don't you think? - it's one of my goals for the new year too. I've got a really beautiful ankle length mirrored skirt that I've started to wear around the house - it makes me feel really happy when I wear it & it's lovely and warm because it's so heavy. So more of that kind of thing for me in 2016
I wfh and pre-Xmas got into a really bad habit of not getting dressed til lunch, or at all  it was generally because the first thing I do when it get up is log on, then by the time I've boiled the kettle my emails have downloaded and I get into "I'll just answer a few then have a shower mode" and before I know it, it's lunchtime. So my 2016 resolution is to get showered / dressed BEFORE logging on in the morning. Wish me luck!Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Oh the sales are so tempting to me!
Have resisted so far in Jan though, and am sending back a few things I ordered in December.
I don't really love them so I must be strong. All the 'stuff' in this house is suffocating me!
January is a month that I usually go mad spending so its going to be tough....Fashion on the Ration 2020 - 5/66 spent0 -
I've had 3 no spend days but expect to be tempted tomorrow as I am probably going to the shops.
Hopefully I'll also have time to analyse my spending from last year and plan for this one.
I'm probably going to shop my wardrobe for the 33 items to wear over the next 3 months. This will also help me make sewing plans.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
We went to a new town yesterday and found lots of charity shops to explore. I saw a nice cream patterned silk scarf but one of my rules is " no more scarves" so I didn't buy it. That saved me £1.99 and saves a little more space in my wardrobe! I need an interview outfit but I'm going to see what's in my wardrobe first - I've lost a little weight so my jackets fit a little better. I did have a pale grey scarf on my Christmas list but I didn't receive one so if I see one I'll allow myself to buy it! This challenge is at least going to make me think before I buy...0

Don't tell anyone but I have been known to log on before getting out of bed!! xI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.

black cat - I often walk round shops with items before convincing myself I don't need it and popping it back. I try and think when will I wear it, what will I wear it with, and do I already have something similar... xI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.

Love the hair pixtotts. Just thinking about this challenge made me realise I work from home, have clothes that are fine for work when I have to 'go out' and 'meet people' and I have lots of 'dress up clothes' for events. A recent declutter of wardrobe made me realise I spend on clothes as a way of avoiding doing something, stress relief or other issue rather than a need for an item. I've bought the couple of items I actually needed. I'm leaving the budget as is but think that this challenge might help with lifeMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
I always sign up for this challenge and fall off the wagon in the autumn, but I think it still reduces my overall spend so I'm signing up again
I'm aiming for a budget of £400 for the year. That's £30 per month and a £40 contingency fund. I'm aiming for no spends for the next three months unless work related.
