I think this challenge could be harder than I anticipated. Today I bought some exercise leggings reduced from £16 to £4 and an exercise top reduced from £22 to £5. However I am not taking them off my budget as I said exercise clothes were exempt but I think that is me pretty much done for exercise clothes unless I need new trainers later in the year.
I had to walk past all the normal clothes really quickly and I can see if I am not careful I will end up with a wardrobe of exercise clothes just to satisfy my urge to buy. I think the key will be to avoid shops as much as poss.

I also did that with Gym stuff :o But I blame kerrieGT who posted a link last year for the most amazing leggings :rotfl:

I am including gym and running stuff in my budget as or I will be the same as last year :rotfl:

Well I've been de-cluttering my wardrobes this afternoon and have separated my clothes into two wardrobes.
My main one is clothes that I wear often and the second hold clothes that either no longer fit me or items I have not even worn with tags still on. Shocking!!!
There's also clothes there that I plan to sell at the carboot, and some for the chazza shop.
If I get the urge to buy something new, I'm going to check the spare wardrobe and 'shop' from there. If I can't find anything and I need a fix, I plan on 're-camping what I have and make a mongrel. :rotfl:

That all sounds very organised, I like the idea of "shopping" from your spare wardrobe.

In spite of starting this challenge in all honest I was itching to get to the Charity Shops today. I saw a lovely skirt - Long Tall Sally BNWT - pewter sequins - £5.50 - it seemed like a bargain & is very pretty so I bought it :o but having tried it on it doesn't look that nice so I will take it back. So I'm still on zero but not due to any willpower to be honest :o

Whoops....sorry about that :o to be fair, they are a very good price, I have worn the ones I bought last summer loads, incl up to 3 hot yoga classes a week (so lots of washing) plus running and they even did a 1/2 marathon with me (I was wearing them, not being weird and just carrying them :rotfl:) soooo...... I got these ones for Xmas http://www.tikiboo.co.uk/collections/capris/products/tikiboo-soda-splash-capri
I did order them (on behalf of OH) in the Black Friday sale so got 20% off :money:.....:A

What a good idea, getting all your clothes out and sorting them into the two piles. I'm sure I read once that we wear 20% of our wardrobe 80% of the time.

Hi Somerandom please can you count me in again.
This will be my third year of doing this challenge. I am going to stick to similar targets to 2015.
Budget: £600(£50 a month) like Mavvy I use to spend £100+ a month on clothes.
Includes: all clothes, shoes, coats, boots, gym wear
Excludes: any vouchers earned or money, vouchers given for birthday/cams and used on clothes.
No spend months: 6 months of no spends (this is really challenging for me).
Where possible - only to buy items that have been reduced.
Declutter my wardrobe and drawers and boot fair any clothes that don't make me smile anymore.
Once a week - wear something that I haven't worn for a while

Needs: at the moment- low heel navy shoes; 1 new set of gym clothes
Will also need some new summer wear - will assess in the summer.

Welcome new members - I have added you :)

    Thanks for adding me Somerandom.

I found this challenge easier than I thought in 2015 but that was due to the bulging wardrobes in my bedroom. This year may be harder but I am determined to try again. In the past I would spend hundreds of pounds on an outfit so I have made a lot of progress:o
