£3.50 spent on a new Ni*e gym top. But on the plus side it was one I wanted in a posh sports shop for sale at an eye watering £35.99:eek:
So cant complain and did say to DH he had to buy it for me so I didnt have to declare itBut thought that was a bit of a cheat so owning up to it :rotfl:

Hello everyone, and welcome to the new joiners!
As you can all see, now that I've added the shoes in that I bought at the end of Jan, I have bust my budget a bit! And I have definately bought less than I ordinarly would have *hangs head in shame*
I'm not beating myself up over anything though, because I am logging on here every day and thinking about it, which is good, and I am still living in limbo and under some stress. Hopefully things will be more sorted by the end of feb and we can find our new routine. I've set up some new savings accounts and made a new budget for things like birthdays, school uniform etc
Also hoping to start eating better and swimming again in the next couple of weeks, clothes getting a bit tight 😞. I have plenty of things to wear but I feel that I don't look good in any of it.
I suppose these are natural feelings after rejection.
Anyway I don't want to be a downer! Like many of you I love clothes and shopping, and the challenge of bargain hunting, and the thrill of finding something beautiful. I just need to learn to appreciate it as a once in a while treat, not a daily occurrence!!
Also have a question - do we have to count spend if it comes from extra money received - like ebay sales, or presents, or if we cashed in our pennies jar?
Thanks for listening 😘Fashion on the Ration 2020 - 5/66 spent0 -
Presents I don't count, but from eBay sales I would (if I used eBay any more.) I keep attracting timewasters. I think it's up to the individual to decide what counts and list it in their restrictions if they wish.0

It's entirely up to you re eBay. Some count all spends regardless of where the £ comes from, some do not count money from the likes of eBay / car boots or the like as that can help in the motivation to have a clear out.
Personally, I wouldn't count presents or gift card spends, but would count spends from extra earnings as otherwise I might see those extra earnings as just an excuse to spend, unless perhaps I had a specific item in mind which I had saved up for by doing car boots, eBay etc such as a new pair of boots.
Sorry, that's all prob about as helpful as a chocolate fire guard.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I would as I added E*ay sales to my total last year and I reckon by doing that I spent about £1500 on clothes
You are better to add it to your total and then it makes you think more and also like me you will never really know what you have spentSo you are better just to own up to it and go over budget if thats what it takes. At least you are being honest with yourself. So if your parents give you £50 and you spend that on clothes then yes I would add it.
To get your head around a clothes spending habit you have to be really honest with yourself or you are never going to change anything
Loads of us went over budget last year and I think I would prefer to do that than 'cook the books' so to speak;)

Ok, will not try to 'cheat' anymore!
Will include anything bought with ebay money, but not birthday presents if they are clothes.
I'm not planning to put much on eBay until my weight is sorted anyway! And if I ever lose any, I would be willing to spend on getting my favourites altered.Fashion on the Ration 2020 - 5/66 spent0 -

Well done vintagegal. I think this is the only way you can see a true figure. I was shocked when I looked at the amount I sold on Eb*y and then spent nearly everything I had in payp*l. And I know I just kidded myself. It did make me think about it so god only knows how much I would have spent without 'thinking about it' :rotfl:
This year I am determined to do one hell of a lot better
As like you I know I need nothing as I still have so much
