I've lost around 5 stone since my heaviest - the last 3 of which was through mindful eating - used a hypnotherapy app which made it really easy & have now kept it off for over 3 years. Wishing you the very best with your weight loss goals. Be kind to yourself x
Mavvy kudos to you for your weight loss - very impressive.
Would you mind posting a link to that app please? X0 -
Sounds like you are all doing well and off to a good start.
I've not spent anything this month so far but oh, January is a bit of a boring monthI've realised how much I look forward to a parcel arriving from Fleabay or online shopping. I must find other ways to give myself a little treat. Any suggestions?
VintageGal, be gentle with yourself. Change often happens as a couple of steps forward and a little slide back, but as long as you keep moving forward you will get there. I used to hate charity shops and wouldn't be seen dead in them. Then my very stylish friend told me that most if her clothes come from there. Now I love them. I only buy good makes, that are in perfect condition and look flattering on me. Yesterday at work I wore Phase Eight skinny trousers, Phase Eight top and Masai cardi all from the Chazza shop at different times. WARNINGChazza shops can become an addiction

somerandom Well done to you too :T
Yes Rowan Moons right on the Charity shops becoming an addiction :rotfl:I am just staying out of them and getting on with other (not so nice) stuff
I would say that 99.9% of my clothes come from chazzers.
I wouldnt be seen dead in one either like Rowan moon but as I started to lose weight and dropped sizes I needed clothes that wouldnt fall down so thats where mine started
I would buy the size down and when that became to big I would take all that in and get the next size down :rotfl:I got to know them so well in the one I used they saved the next size down for me.
I have kept my weight off (near enough) But I can put on a few lbs and then I get it back off again. But I never let it go to far.
So vintagegal Hopefully the Chazzers will become your friend as you drop sizes
I have still not spent anything and already have the £100 ready to go into a clothes account if I can manage not to spend for the rest of the month
Good luck to all
BTW Kerris right if you find the magic dress can you let us all know please x

Hello everyone
Thank you for all replying to me, I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.
Going through a break up at the moment and crying most days.
So trying to lose weight probably isnt the best thing for me right at this moment, but it will come.
I have done something I need to confess to - I ordered some shoes. Obviously when they come, I may send them back. So I am not beating myself up over them just yet... but I could sense that it was shopping therapy to try and cheer myself up, which I think I should be avoiding. Lets see if they 'spark joy'.
I really wanted to do a no spend January (even though I have NEVER been a month without buying something to wear in at least 20 years) so I feel like I've let myself down. Even though I did three weeks which is amazing for me!
I may take a day off to myself and go and look round some charity shops, just to see whats out there. I do like a bargain so you may convert me yet! I imagine you have to go quite a lot though to find something?
Will report back later with shoe news - hopefully they are horrible and can go straight back....Fashion on the Ration 2020 - 5/66 spent0 -
VintageGal, don't feel bad about the shoes and no need to confess. If you love then just take them off your total spends. If you don't love them save your money for something you do love. Going through a break up is hard - sending you a big hug.Crazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000

Dont beat yourself up about the shoes yet at least wait until they arrive then beat yourself up :rotfl:Joking aside as Rowan says just take them off your budget if they 'Spark mega 'and it has to be mega joy. If not send them back.Easy really
Break ups are always hard and I really feel for you
There is nothing we can do or say to you at the moment that is going to helpSo just take each day as it comes and do the best you can.
If you live anywhere near me I would love to convert you to the Chazzers
Take care

Shifting my energy for 20200
-
Hello everyone,
Another week in for me and still no spending on clothes;)
January is an awful, long month for us as my OH's work is very seasonal and he doesn't have anything on at the moment. I have to keep a very firm grip on my spending and this challenge helps me to keep within my budget. I love clothes and shoes (oh, I really love shoes) but I am doing my very best to keep on the straight and narrow.
Have a good weekend all:)
