I get Traidcraft gloves if I can. Otherwise Bizzybee ones seem pretty good.

Bad day here. I booked two short classes at the gym, the first was OK despite me really struggling due to being unfit. The second I walked out of in tears. I feel really stupid and embarrassed. I don't think I can go back. I just didn't understand how to do the exercises properly and got an agonising cramp in my side. I am so upset and humiliated. I just want to binge on junk as there is no one to give me a hug. It's pathetic at my age.

:grouphug: Have this dodgy one hun.

Have you thought about a personal training session rather than classes? It would be more tailored to your abilities, less demoralising and probably more effective...and may even work out cheaper in the long run.

Don't let gym bunnies get you down.

Hugs sofar and I'm so sorry it didn't work out for you but on the positive side you've probably done more exercise today than most of us. At least you know now that class/teacher isn't for you so you can try other ones. I just use DVDs as I'm so uncoordinated I would be a danger if I had to exercise around other people.:grouphug::grouphug: more dodgy hugs for you.

    Dodgy hug from me too.

You're not pathetic, just a bit unfit. Work on improving your fitness slowly, at your own pace.

Don't feel bad Hun, you don't need to go there again. And I bet no one there thought badly of you.. TBH it's the fault of the instructor. They should have taken better care.

If you can't get a one to one assessment then perhaps you could exercise at home, either a DVD or you tube.

Do you like dancing. Maybe just put some music on and dance around at home.

Start gently, just do a few minutes each day, gradually building up.

Remember the immortal words of Scarlett O'Hara in "Gone With the Wind". She would say "I'll think about it tomorrow. Tomorrow is another day."

When you have a bad day - just remember tomorrow really is another day. Each day is a fresh start, you begin each new day with a clean slate.

Sofarbehind sorry to hear you had such a negative experience in the second class. Please try not to be discouraged, go back and try a couple of different classes and maybe ask at reception if there are ones that they would recommend for people returning to exercise. When I go to classes I always tell the instructor that I am new so that they can help when I get confused. Do you have a friend you can go to a class with?

Another positive day of healthy eating and exercise here today. Just catching up on here before heading off for another pampering session.

    Hi fabbers,

Went to my crafty class today wearing my new clothes and i felt really fab.
Last night i started using my e cig and i am still using it so i am pretty happy about that too.

Downside, my gp started me on a pile of new meds on the 30th and i am finding them very sedating. Gp said to expect this and that i would adapt to them. I feel like a half shut knife and can't really be bothered with anything.

Last night DH was in the attic looking for something, i went up the ladder far enough to help him look from a distance (supervise), his head bumped into a wicker basket that was balanced on the eaves it flew off and hit me on the face so now i have a lovely black eye.

    Keep on fabbing.

    regards
    :j
