    Hi all

Did manage to put on my right moisturisers last night so that was a good start.

We went out for a couple of hours in to town this morning so I put on my make up and a nice top and jeans as opposed to normal which would be no make up.

Have sorted out all my make up and toiletries so have made a plan to use these up - don't worry I still have loads in stock, but by planning to use them up I will look after myself.

    Morning fabbers,

Today is my first day back at work. Luckily, I only have one meeting, so it should be a fairly easy day for me.

I don't feel too unfab this morning - I am wearing perfume, but didn't put any makeup on. I normally do this on the train, but I couldn't be bothered today. I may put on some lip gloss later.

For the newbies, here's a few tips I have picked up since joining this thread.

    Chanie's tips to fabbing:

Drink more water if you don't already. This will improve your skin. I keep a water bottle on my desk at work and sip throughout the day.

Break your fabbing down in to manageable chunks you don't have to do everything in one go. For example, one day, I may remove my nail varnish and then repaint them the next day. I try and do 'something' every couple of days.

Timesaving - I don't have much free time, so I have to 'fab on the go'. For example, I do my makeup and cuticles when I'm on the train. I body brush whilst I'm running a bath etc.

Enjoy it - I make a point of using products I enjoy, that way, it doesn't feel like a chore.

Clean your face when you get in from work - if you clean your face when you get in from work, you get it out of the way and your face will be cleaner for longer.

    Thanks for the tips Chanie.

I have to admit I am always in awe of those people who manage to put make up on during their commute - I am sure I would end up poking myself in the eye with my mascara wand.

Am going to see if I can make it through my personal training session today - don't seem to be quite so bunged up this morning and haven't coughed as much, so I might be ok. Will definitely be alright for yoga later anyway, don't need much puff to stretch into positions for 3-5 minutes at a time (I do yin yoga which isn't at all dynamic)

Got the rest of today to get myself ready for the work week ahead - a bit of organising and a bit of fabbing. Plus the extra dynamic of planning when to see the boyfriend (am I meant to say OH?) to add complexity to the diary planning.

The one thing that might be a headache there long term is he doesn't fancy moving back to London and would rather live somewhere quiet, and I would go potty living somewhere really quiet. We might be able to compromise on somewhere on the edge of a town.

Anyway, all a long way off, at the moment we're close enough to be able to meet up regularly and we've both had our hearts broken by people we lived with in the past so neither of us are in a rush to move in.

Great start to my day so far :D I have finally overcome the reluctance to start exercising again and I got up and did a fitness DVD this morning :j small steps but at least they are the right direction.

Healthy meals planned out for the day and I am going to spend a voucher I got for Christmas on some items to help me fab. A good body scrub and some fitness clothing.

Even after a few days of healthy eating and a better routine I feel better :D

Indie - I only do light make up on the train - pressed powder, blusher and lipstick. Anything that needs precision is definitely out.

I think there are lots of nice commuter towns for you and OH, which could satisfy you both. I hope you enjoy spending your voucher - I think that a body puff works just as well as a body scrub. Alternatively, I body brush for cellulite, which also exfoliates.

Rummer - well done on doing the DVD.

Hi fabbers and welcome to all the lovely newcomers:)
Have loved reading all the latest posts.
Glad you're feeling better. *LL* and *Indie* it seems you may have met your soulmate? :) - your post about your walking trip has given me the urge to join a walking group!
Off to work in a bit (boo!) make up on and perfume and a healthy salad in my bag. Not sure I'll fit much exercise in today as I finish late but I'll see what I can do.

9.84 km run this morning (perfect timing - rain had stopped, sun was out). Now the sun has gone in and I'm having a smoothie as late breakfast before having a shower.

Run was VERY muddy and slippery, so socks and leggings are soaking in the sink before washing. It also means I was out for rather longer than planned, so will be starting work considerably later than I should be ;)

I have a pilates class tonight, so will save the laundry till later - I think I need something like a sealable like a nappy bin to keep running kit in while it waits to be washed!
  • Weigh in day today. I was right, gained 3kg over Christmas. Nearly called into work [STRIKE]fat[/STRIKE] sick I was so ashamed. But no. Time to crack down really hard on what I eat. Got fruit for lunch and veg for tea. Need to drink more water too, but the office is freezing after the heating being off all day so I've been on coffee.

On the plus side forced myself to wash my hair last night despite barely having the energy (and will) to get up from the chair for bed. Does feel a bit better. Full makeup removal went well and I even straightened my hair this morning rather than just tying it up out the way. So not all horrific, just weight wise.

I decided I was not putting on good clothes today as I am:
    1. Cooking loads of SW healthy meals for the freezer so that they are there for quick meals at night when DH and I get in from work.
    2. Going to gut the freezers and do an inventory so I know what is in there and then do a meal plan for us all for the next couple of weeks as I know we have all been eating far to much junk over the festive period.

My hair needs washing but I have just tied it back this morning and will have a nice shower and wash it this evening. I may even use a hot oil conditioner on it as after having done the mirror test last night I can definitely see a couple of gray hairs poking through, so I would like to condition it before I colour it on Wednesday.

I did however do a quick exfoliation of my face and neck this morning and then put on some thick moisturiser as my skin was feeling a bit dry. I also did a quick manicure as a couple of nails had got 'raggy' yesterday when I was shopping, and applied some hand cream afterwards. I also moisturised my body so all in all not to bad.

    Afternoon All

I've just got changed for the third time today! I went for a walk this morning in leggings, long cream jumper, boots and a waxed jacket. I just changed the jacket for going out for lunch with Mum for her birthday. I then came home and put on old clothes to clean out the chickens. I'm now in dark grey smart jeans and a red and black jersey top with draped V neck and three quarter sleeves and black ankle boots ready to go to work.

I had a nice long walk this morning (6 miles) so by the end of work tonight I should have done about 25,000 steps which should balance out yesterday. I've just made some celery soup and am taking a portion with me for tonight's tea, along with an apple.

    Have a good evening everyone.
