Evening all - just a quick one as I have work to do. First day back at school today but it was INSET so not as much of a shock to the system as it could have been. I looked quite respectable with hair, make up, casual but nice clothes and felt ok.
Have walked the dog for 3km since getting home (walked this morning too) and had a bath and taken off makeup, cleansed and have night cream and eye gel on already - I'm so rock and roll!
Tea was very healthy - a bowl of homemade 5 bean chilli with a tiny bit of grated cheese - no booze today so that's a minor triumph after Xmas and no dessert (yet! Am full so don't need any). The downside was that the inset lunch provided was chips and lasagne - don't eat meat so just had a small portion of chipscould have been worse I suppose
My fabbing aims for tomorrow are to walk at least 4km, file and buff nails and take make up off and use night cream etc0 -
Well done to all the fabbers, you should all be proud of yourselves.0

Evening all.
The post Christmas weigh in wasn't quite as bad as feared, though I have probably put on 4lbs through December .
So today I was back on the 5:2(ish) diet. I decided that rather than the strict 500 calories today, I should concentrate on eating healthy wholefoods (LOL, that got autocorrected to "whoopsies":rotfl:). I know Nigella doesn't like the term "clean eating", but I do and that's what I am doing alongside 5:2. No sugar, no grains (except oats), low carb generally. Today was no breakfast, soup for lunch, chicken and butter bean stew for tea. Also walked the mile into town and another back.
I want it off before the end of the month,I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Spent the day making healthy meals for the freezer and was shattered by the end so had a nice soak in the bath with a face mask on, then hot oiled, shampooed and conditioned my hair in the shower. After my bath/shower I moisturised my body, face and nails.
Not bad for an evenings work lol now just chilling with a glass of vino as I don't go back to work until Thursday. Just hope I can keep it all up when things get manic again.
Thanks for the advice Chanie and I will definitely try a few of those.0 -
Evening all
Well today was the first day back at work and 1st day of fabbing!
While drinking my first cuppa at kitchen table I filed and buffed my nails, followed by hand cream.
I remembered to wear perfume :T
And I've had a healthy day food wise, oat pancakes for breakfast, red lentil & bean stew for lunch, chicken & veg for tea. Also had 2 satsumas and 2 plums.
I'm about to go to bed but I'll be brushing my teeth, moisturising my face and slapping on the hand cream beforehand.
This is so not the normal me :rotfl:0 -
Good morning fabbers.
PM I'm loving your idea of fabbing while you drink your morning cuppa. Its definitely worth getting into the habit of multi-tasking.
Maisie enjoy the rest of your days off.
VJsMum Good luck with your diet.
I've sprayed some perfume, done my make up and am ready for work.0 -
Up and exercising again today
I prefer to get it done first thing and then I have no excuses for getting out of it later :rotfl:
Been sticking to the healthy eating and beauty regime so long may it last.
Yesterday I went to try a new foundation and got a mini makeover at a beauty counter but I felt the foundation I had been keen to get was just too heavy for my skin so I am going to stick with what I already use.
Lunch with a friend today and then I think we are going to go out for a long walk to blow the cobwebs away in the afternoon, if the weather holds!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Hi all I'm going to have to do some serious fabbing on my hands. My nails were so pretty at the end of last year but spending nearly the last two weeks with my hands in the kitchen sink have ruined them.
I have bought hair, skin and nail vitamins and filed my nails very short and am going to smoother my hands in coconut oil tonight and put gloves on to help it soak in.
I still haven't done any yoga yet this year but everyone gets back to normal tomorrow so I should have more time and I'm looking forward to it.
It's freezing and stormy here again today so I'm wearing lots of layers, leggings, top, knitted dress, cardigan, cowl and boots and that's just inside :rotfl:
I'm aiming for a one pound a week weight loss by cutting back on my snacking and increasing the amount of veg im eating, I really think I need to make small slow changes as I really can't be bothered cooking one thing for me and another for the rest of the familykonMarie and fabbing all the way
Weight loss challenge starting 11st loss in November 4lb0 -
Good afternoon lovely ladies.
Well lots of good work going on here. I can see you have all caught the fabbing bug.
Lolly yes you are right. Small changes are more sustainable than trying to do everything all in one go.
Re the kitchen sink.......rubber gloves!!!
Actually I found the cheapo rubber gloves I was using seemed to be making my hands sore. I've been trialling some better ones that are latex free and allergy proof. They seem to suit me better. More expensive but definitely better quality and they seem to last longer too. My thin cheap ones didn't last 5 minutes.
Although my body is still nicely tanned I thought I looked a bit pale today so I've start using my facial fake tan. Olay Sunshine. I've used it before and whilst I don't like the smell it does give a nice healthy looking glow.
no other news here. Did a top shop of fruit and veg yesterday, so a nice healthy dinner.
I am back on the paleo waggon and am starting to feel better already. Not weighed myself yet but I'm afraid I have put weight on over the festive season.......
Need to up my game now. 5 months till the wedding so the race is on.:rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

LL - where did you get your better quality rubber gloves from? Am struggling with cheaper ones making my hand itch so would like an alternative, thanks
