    Morning :)

I've been very productive in the shop this morning - I got some glass shelving units on ebay for £5 and made them the 'personal care' section which looks really nice. It's made space for more products as well so I can expand the range. Then had a move around with other bits and bobs and spruced up the toys so we're looking nice.
Out for lunch today I think and have prawn stir fry planned for tonight (got a bumper whoopsie crop the other day including king prawns and a load of 2% fat turkey mince

That's given me an idea for the meatballs - if I can't find 5% pork mince, turkey mince should be just as good.
Thanks all for the lovely feedback, now you need to give me a slap as I ate a whole tub of those Cadbury Amaze-Bites last night :o I started feeling sick after number two and didn't even enjoy them.

Refer to your previous post Tete! (Consider yourself slapped.)

It's crazy when you eat something you know you shouldn't and don't even enjoy it. I did the same thing last week with an Easter egg - I was expecting that lovely thick chocolate they used to make eggs out of, but it was thin and not that nice. I still ate it though. :o
Would never have dreamed of doing that Lois  ;)

When you think about it, 6.5 syns to add cheese sauce to an otherwise syn free lasagne wouldn't be a bad compromise, particularly as you wouldn't eat the whole lot. Might have to try it! :D

Well done to all the losers - keep up the good work, someone has to make up for slow losers like me!

    Have a good day everyone.

:T debjay on your loss. You're doing amazingly well too MrsR. You've really got back on that wagon. Now your TMA (I remember them well;)) is out of the way you should be able to focus hard for the next two weeks. What about a few SP days or meals?

Sound like a very productive morning lois and it's kept your hands busy!:rotfl:

I did a bit of googling and the best value 5% beef and pork mince (separate) is in Sainsbury's at the moment. It might be worth you driving to a big store and stocking up if you have the freezer space.

You're right that I did get to target with my current consumption and it's hardly as if they've changed the recipe for wine! Part of me says it's a ploy for SW to join in the 'drink responsibly' campaign but it does make me think. Only yesterday there was huge publicity about soaring Type 2 diabetes and its link with diet and lifestyle. It just shows how sensible we're all being making sure we eat and drink healthily.:)

I've never eaten them myself but would pasta n sauce in cheese variety be similar to mac cheese? Much lower syn if you like that sort of thing.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, bacon, scrambled eggs, HEB toast
L: lentil and veg soup, LO hash&veg
D: SW chilli with brown rice and cottage cheese
    Syns: squirt of HP sauce

Finally MSE is letting me log in correctly!!

Something completely not SW world related, but for 8 years I have had DVLA restrictions because of Epilepsy that I haven't been able to drive.
Finally after a million medical reports, they've lifted my restrictions and I can drive an automatic. Found out last week, had my first driving lesson on Saturday, already brought a car (which I'm fondly naming Pedro) and this morning I passed my theory test first go, less then a week after starting driving :T:T

Hopefully I have the same determination with weight loss as I do with learning to drive lol!

Quick post I went to Iceland to stock up on half price nescafe, 300 g for 2.49 if anyone needs any and was delighted to find Slimming World chicken sausages reduced to £1, not sure why and assistant didn't know either, maybe just this branch but worth a look if you are in there and like them. Then went to asda to stock up on Philadelphia light. They are the family 280g pack usually about 2.40 at £1, got chive, garlic and plain.also found 1kg packs of frozen cauliflower at 30p. I do love bargain mooching.

I now know why Iceland have reduced the chicken sausages. THEY ARE HORRIBLE.

Omg - you're right, I hadn't had a proper look at it. DH turns his nose up at anything with less than 14% abv and that's now 9 syns for a 175ml glass, which is a 1/4 of a bottle.

Thing is though, you got to target using the old syn value so should you change your drinking habits?

    LL :)

Eta ps - I don't believe wine is as calorific as they say. DH and I gave up drinking for a whole month, we didn't replace it with anything other than tea and coffee, and neither of us lost any weight, not an ounce!

Exactly my thoughts! I don't intend changing the syn values for my wine. I've been in target for more than 5 years now so I'll just carry on with the old syn values - after all they haven't changed the formula for making the wine:rotfl:.

I tend to use a cheese sauce mix - used to use the Colmans one which I think is 8.5 syns for the pack but recently tried the Schwartz one which is lower - 7.5 syns I think so 2 syns a portion and it's much nicer than the Colmans one (I added a bit of mustard powder to it as well which worked well to improve the flavour).

One of the benefits of being teetotal is that I can have a large glass of alcohol free rose for 3 syns- I can have the whole bottle for the same syns as one small glass of decent strength stuff- crazy!
Maman, thanks for the SP suggestion. Not allowed to do SP days (doctors orders as it made me really poorly last time) but that's an excellent suggestion about the odd SP meal. Some of my meals are SP anyway inadvertently so I'll keep that up :)
I'm feeling really hungry today- I had a Subway salad while I was in town this morning but I was so hungry when I came back I had some veggie chilli with extra veg. Im hoping that will keep me full up till later. Trying desperately not to bite my nails at the moment as well!!! I'm getting Shellac nails week after next and it would be nice for ones to have some decent length nails for the polish to go on!
Hope alls well with everyone xx
