  • Hi all, lost 5lb in the first few days just before Easter but haven't really been on plan since... Weighed this morning and looks like I put 2 back on. Today I have all my food organised and hopefully a plan for tonight's dinner. Luckily I'm not suffering from morning sickness but do feel nauseous often. Particularly when eating my evening meal! Having to eat before oh gets home otherwise I can't manage it!

Need to start meal planning and preparing ahead where possible but it's difficult sometimes :)

Quick post I went to Iceland to stock up on half price nescafe, 300 g for 2.49 if anyone needs any and was delighted to find Slimming World chicken sausages reduced to £1, not sure why and assistant didn't know either, maybe just this branch but worth a look if you are in there and like them. Then went to asda to stock up on Philadelphia light. They are the family 280g pack usually about 2.40 at £1, got chive, garlic and plain.also found 1kg packs of frozen cauliflower at 30p. I do love bargain mooching.

Same price on the website. None of my nearby stores even stock the chicken ones, maybe they're discontinuing them?

Sorry (again) for the lack of posts, keeping up with everything SW related has been taking a backseat lately. Am still on plan though.

    Today...
Breakfast - Weetabix and coffee (A/B1)
Lunch - Leftover salmon and salad
    Dinner - Chicken and veggies
Snacks - Fruit, HiFi Lights (B2) and some suns

Have been really into fruit this week, which is odd as I'm not a fruit person.

    Hi everyone,

    Congrats Rebster on SOTW :T

Shala I have not managed to get on to post my progress this week, for three days, it's been saying I have password issues and then magically it worked today!! Last week I'm reporting a +2lb gain!
Gutted by this but it's my own fault as wasn't on plan, maybe about 40% of the time, so time to reign it back in again... that's for week 5, got a few weeks to get some decent losses for the challenge.
Well done for all losses, amazing to see :T:T

There was definitely a theme today - drinking! She highlighted SWs new syn values for different strengths of wine and said Prosecco was the lowest, someone asked how many syns for a bottle!

    :cry::cry::cry:

    That's dreadful news!
At a quick glance I think they've added about 10 syns to a bottle of wine.

    :(:(:(

I haven't done much today. I'm still trying to get rid of this cold I've had for three weeks and I keep getting fits of coughing. Certainly won't be having wine to cheer me up.;)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: JP with cottage cheese and pickles
D: Austrian Hash with some green stuff (broccoli, peas, asparagus, mange tout)
Syns: squirt of syrup, about 3 syns of chorizo

Omg - you're right, I hadn't had a proper look at it. DH turns his nose up at anything with less than 14% abv and that's now 9 syns for a 175ml glass, which is a 1/4 of a bottle.

Thing is though, you got to target using the old syn value so should you change your drinking habits?

    LL :)

Eta ps - I don't believe wine is as calorific as they say. DH and I gave up drinking for a whole month, we didn't replace it with anything other than tea and coffee, and neither of us lost any weight, not an ounce!

Lois I get 5% pork mince from Morrisons and use it for bolognaise or meatballs , half and half with beef mince, tastes lovely

Thanks for that. My local Morrisons isn't stocking 5% beef mince at the moment so I don't hold out much hope. It's quite a small branch and some lines are de-listed on rotation so the beef mince could reappear in the fridges anytime.
