Hiya
Thanks for the shiny new thread Shala.
New year is always a good time to strengthen the resolve and do something worthwhile with the coming year and as always, my plan for 2016 is to eat less, exercise more and lose weight.
With that in mind my target for the new challenge is 14lbs.
I'm also resolving to spend less time on the 'net and read more books, but I'll still be visiting this thread regularly. I'll be cutting down on playing games online - they're so addictive and such a waste of time!
What resolutions are you all making this year?
LLStart BMI - 38.7 Current BMI - 31.2 Target BMI - 26.30 -
Well I've been to weigh in and I've gained 3 lbs, not unexpected, but at least now I've got a starting point and can enjoy myself tonight with a drink and get back on track at the weekend. :TStriving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670

+1.5 this week
I am still 1.5 below my target weight so will have my weigh loss blank please shala
Thank you for the new thread.
Good Luck everyone with your healthy eating in 20160 -

I love online games too Lois, but my app seems to have broken so I have no choice but to play less this year :(
Drink more water, exercise more and eat less are my goals for 2016.. let's see if we can achieve them :j:j
I've just done a quick shop at Mozza's and they have the Linda McCartney RO and Rosemary sausages for £1.. if anyone has these it's a great bargain, I grabbed 3 boxes
I got some carrots too as I had a spiralizer for Xmas and I want to play,:D i'll be adding it to the spaghetti we're having tomorrow with pork and chorizo meatballs, it ups the speed food and lessens the carbs :j
Maman, have you made pork and chorizo meatballs before? or was it Denise? We were going to treat ourselves to a Tesc0 finest meal deal for New Years Day but the only thing they had that looked nice were the meatballs which I can make cheaper/nicer myself but didn't know if someone had a tried and tested recipe.
Right must go and sort the washing out, OH is ordering our traditional NYE takeaway this eveningso no tea to cook..
Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Thank you Shala
I'd love to say that I want to lose 14lbs between now and end of February so instead of underestimating myself, I'm gonna go ahead and say 14lbs please

Hi everyone, wish you all a healthy, happy new year.
My target will be 10lbs I will be away for the last two weeks of the challenge in Tenerife but really need to knuckle down and see if I can call target befor I go.
See you next year xx0 -
Thanks for the new thread shala and Happy New Year to you all!:A
I'm feeling very positive for 2016. I love the idea of a fresh start. I think I need to spend some of my spare time more constructively too lois. I don't play games but I could certainly read more and generally not fritter time away.
Sorry, it wasn't me that makes meatballs. I have seen a recipe that wraps a little piece of mozzarella inside so might try that sometime.
Like tweets, I'm planning to stay the same across the challenge so don't add me in. I suppose I don't mean stay where I am now (jeans feeling tight:o) but where I will be on target when I get back on plan properly. I'm going to a wedding at the end of February so that's my next goal.
I've gradually got back more or less on plan the past couple of days but I'm putting off a food shop until Saturday so not 100% yet.
EE plan for today:
B: NAS Grapefruit, bacon, fried eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with cottage cheese and picklescrab terrine with salad, duck, dauphinoise potatoes, asparagus, carrots, peas & onion and cheeseboard if we're still hungry.
Syns: masses!!:o:eek:0 -
Hi all,
I did not know there was a sw thread! I joined my local group last January and lost 3 stone 6lbs in 2015 but still need another 1.5-2 stone off. Unfortunately in December I have just gained, 8lbs I think in total and I can totally feel it. Too much crap food and I come out in spots, bloat, get headaches and have no energy.
I weigh in on a Monday, been half an angel Monday and Tuesday (had desert both night's off plan getting rid of Xmas stuff) but yesterday and today I've been on 100%. Even made my gravy separate yesterday from dh and lb portion so I could syn correctly. Feeling better already.
Trying to make sure my water is up as this helps me lose. I drink loads in work but none at home. My dh is doing his yearly diet from tomorrow so the next few weeks there will be no temptations, I give him 3 weeks before he gives up. He won't do sw, he thinks eating hardly nothing works......yeah right that's why he is yet again back on his January diet! Plonker!
Can I join the challenge? 10lbs for me please. 😇 hopefully I will get there before Easter!Proud mummy to an amazing 8 year old!0 -
Happy New Year everyone :j
Can you please put me down for -10lb Shala? I'll probably lurk more than post but will report back with weekly results. Good luck everyone.
I'm also cutting out the alcohol over the same period. Wish me luck :A0 -
Happy New Year everyone :A
A big thank you Shala for the shiny new thread and for holding us all together with the charts. You are wonderful :A:A:A
Just watched Gareth Malones Choirs, why has that man not been knighted?? He has done wonders to get the ordinary people singing together. I know he has an OBE but he deserves so much more. Especially when you see who has been knighted and think 'what have they done?'. Or more 'who are they!!'
Ok off my soap box now
Wishing all those suffering the floods new hope that all will be better soon, my thoughts are with them all :A
Back on the straight and narrow after tomorrow
Good luck all :AIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
