Incredible losses dining, well done!
I love a nandos. I like spicy food and I find the medium is hot enough. If in doubt go plain or lemon and herb and then pop a bit of a spicier sauce on the side of your plate from the pouring bottles to try.0 -
Thank you all.
Nandos chips 13 syns plus 3 for the spice, and I would easily eat two portions. (along with a chicken in pitta and spiced rice) no wonder I am so fat.(am a complete Glutton and very much an emotional eater.)
I have found though that I am picking a lot less, (and when I do pick, its on healthy stuff) because I am obviously eating properly and therefore full for longer.
I feel a bit like a switch has flipped and I am in control a bit more now. Just hope I can keep it up. I really hate being so big.
Those of you who have reached target and maintained, have you found it difficult?Light Bulb Moment: Feb 2007

tweets - Those superfree lists are the old ones. They're mostly the same but a few of the fruits (cherries and pineapple for sure, but I only skimmed the list) have been reclassed as free on the new version of the plan.
b_e_g - For Nando's, the article posted above is old but still worth a read. I get the butterfly chicken or the quarter chicken breast (which is cheaper but make sure to specify breast when you order, as the leg is higher syn) which are both 3 syns WITH skin as it doesn't specify to remove it, no matter which heat level you choose. If I'm on an EE day, I'll get spicy rice which is 2 syns and the side salad. Doesn't come with any dressing, so it's free and speed. Other people get the corn, I don't like corn though! But that's free without the butter as well. On an SP day, I'll get the large side salad.
frogga - I've been trying to cut sugar down, both regular and sweetener. I've stopped adding sweetener to anything (apart from SF syrup in my latte) and switched to unsweetened soya milk. Being SP, most of my fruits are already the lower sugar varieties. Just have to work on reducing chocolate now, which is still a daily indulgence.
Today...
Breakfast - Weetabix, berries and latte (A/B1)
Lunch - Leftover chicken and salad, garlic bread (B2 + 2 syns for skin)
Dinner - Chicken curry and spinach
Didn't plan too well there, having chicken both meals! But need to use up the last of the chicken I roasted two days ago. And rest of syns will be chocolate, naturally. :rotfl:0 -

I have an A5 diary Maman, one of my New Years resolutions was to write down everything I eat in it. It is useful for looking back etc. I'm actually pretty impressed I've kept to it, I highlight all the speed foods with a green highlighter - coz I'm a bit sad like that.
The good and the bad it all gets written down in it. Purely food nothing else.
Think I'll be giving the melon a miss too lol !0 -
maman - forgot to say, I have a day to a page diary that I record all my food in. I don't really look back over it but I find it helps with staying on track each day. And it's all there for if I do want to go back in the future.
lantanna - Love that you highlight the speed foods! I don't own highlighters, but mine is colour coded.0 -
:mad: wrote quite a long post earlier about Nando's, joining gyms etc, but we had to leave wifi before it uploaded and I don't think it's here!
Anyway, re: Nando's I go medium / hot spicy, have the butterfly chicken, corn and salad. I love the bottomless coke zero refills too! :j
Well done muso for joining the gym, I'm sure you will enjoy Pilates!
Could anyone tell me if rice paper wrappers are free? Not following plan very closely but trying to make good choices! These rice paper spring rolls are so delicious and packed full of veggies!!
So we' re leaving Asia tonight, flying into Cairns in Oz, so excited to start our Australia leg of our trip - we've got roughly 8-10 weeks and planning to stick to East Coast, so if anyone has any tips they would be most welcome!!
Hope everyone is good - almost the weekend! :j0 -
Hi everyone,
Well done everyone with losses, and sticking to plans.
The nightmare continues, after me having surgery, and my friends mum dying, I got taken into hospital on Monday night with what I thought was my asthma playing up, turns out I have a blood clot on my lung from my surgery! Been discharged this morning with injections to do for 10 days, on the plus side haven't eaten much for the past few days (hospital food isn't the most appetising). Think I may have had one of the unluckiest starts to 2016, but I'm determined still to be on plan! Being overweight has added to the risk factors of me getting this clot, I'm only 25, so this is another wake up call.
Hoping for a good loss this week, I'm not allowed to drink for two weeks because of the blood thinners I'm on, so that'll save some syns. Now counting down the days until my weekend away in Amsterdam in May, and two weeks in Spain in June!
Hope everyone is doing well, hugs xx0 -

Thank you June I did wonder if they old or new list.
Been to Tesco and am back home .
Found the melba toast and had 3 with cottage cheese and beetroot. They tasted the same as I remembered0 -
Hi everyone
It's a gorgeous sunny day today, making it a lot easier for me to make better choices food-wise. Drawn a big line over the bad food yesterday and feeling tons more positive for this week. I've just got back from Iceland where I grabbed the 2 new meals to have on my next 'cant be bothered to cook' day. I can't get over how huge the portions are, I reckon they'll do for 2 meals bulked out with a bit of veg. Also got my free BNS and I've absolutely no idea what to do with it, funny looking things aren't they?!I may try it roasted with some other veg like you mentioned Lois that sounds yummy
Congrats to you frogga for giving up the sugar, I'm sort of in awe as I'd love to do the same. Currently on day 9 of no chocolate and that's hard enough, although it seems to be getting easier, I'd imagine it's the same with sugar once it's out of your system. Good luck when you decide to give it up again
Those who mentioned nandos I've never been to one ever, which is kind of surprising seeing as chicken is my fave meat. Had a little google and discovered we have one in our town centre which I never knew, maybe we'll pay a visit one day. I'm always seeing pics of the chicken with spicy rice on instagram and it looks yum, so I reckon that must be the SW'ers choice. Hope you enjoy BEG
Thanks for your encouraging words selement I really am my own worst enemy sometimes. Hit my target for the challenge on here, increased it and I'm nowhere near now :rotfl: I don't know why I do it to myself, as soon as things are going well I end up sabotaging it especially food-wise. I do need to be stricter with myself and learn to say 'No' especially when Mr Candy comes in with bad food or naughty ideas about going down the road for a takeaway. Today's going better though so maybe I'm on the up
There's some speed fruit and veg on that list I've never even heard of tweets the idea of a horned melon makes me laugh! I can't seem to find satsumas anywhere lately .. maybe they are out of season or something, shame as they're one of my faves
Take care belsy hope you are ok now
Have a lovely afternoon everyone
