Hello matey
I'm good thanks. I went 'sugar free' last year. I lost 4 stone :j
Unfortunately I found the sugar again in October, and found 2 stone of the 4 that I lost. Looking really hard for the other 2 stone so reckon I'll soon find that as well
How are you?
xx
Hope you soon find your 2 stone
I am well lol as you can see I am still doing SW even though sometimes being at goal I find it a struggle :cool:0 -

Hello friends
How lovely to see you again frogga, thanks for dropping by:).
I was only thinking this morning that this thread is like my RL group in that some members drop out and re-join, others call in regularly, some now and again. All are welcome!
When I checked my diary, it's tomorrow I'm out for lunch not today so unexpectedly on plan.
EE menu:
B: NAS Grapefruit, 2 fried eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: cold pork, fried LO veg, picklesChilli with rice and cottage cheese
Syns: 3 syns of chocolate
lush, I think Melba toasts are excellent for savoury snacks. I particularly liked the wholegrain ones from Sainsbury's. They are just half a syn each and if you have a free topping then that's excellent. I've been enjoying cottage cheese, ham or smoked salmon (YS bits) with sliced cornichons or beetroot on top. Not sure if you like cornichons (Lidl do lovely ones) but I can eat them on their own straight from the jar.0 -
Welcome back Frogga - good to see you again.
Change of plan at lunchtime - ham needed to be binned so have another HEB to have later! Might have some Ryvita's with some Apericubes (3 for 0.5 syns).
Lush - agree with Maman Melba toasts are nice to snack on with a free topping, although while I've still got the Apericubes I tend to have those on them. I have the mini melba toasts which come in little packs of 6 for 3.5 syns.

Afternoon / evening everyone
WI for me today and its +1lb for me please shala
Don't know why I'm  with myself it's my own fault being all self sabotagey and bingey and thinking 2 days of eating properly would make up for it. Must do better! Maybe I should have tried shaving my legs I might have had a loss then
I'm typing this feeling super stuffed. We had an off-plan pub lunch consisting of half a pizza with salad, don't think I'll be wanting a huge tea so it'll probably be a fruit bowl which will make me feel less bloated at least
Low syn snack-wise - Ham & egg muffins are nice and filling and are free. I'm planning on making a bunch of muffins with tomato in tomorrow as we have a glut of the things after I accidentally double clicked when doing online shop without realising  I've not tried melba toasts before, will have to keep a lookout for them.
Looking forward to trying the new SW iceland meals, may pop in tomorrow while I'm out shopping. I've never eaten butternut squash before but if it's free with meals I'm tempted to try it
Have a good evening everyone

Afternoon
Well done Hurdy on your loss, well done to all the other losers. If you've maintained or gained, keep at it :T:T
I'll be in the gainer's club this weekagain! I haven't been on plan at all since being poorly and my poorly food is always Heinz tomato soup with thick crusty bread  so much of that was eaten.. I'm off to the spa on Sunday so that'll be a 3 course lunch and then 3.5 weeks to the big 4..0.. and the weeks surrounding that are filling up with afternoon teas and meals out
*sigh*
Tweets - I need to ask - the milk and soup maker, it makes milk?? is that how I'm reading it or am I just being dense? I'm assuming it's like almond milk etc, rather than milk from a cow, otherwise that's just cruel :rotfl:
I feel like a titch greentiger, my OH is 6'3, his brother is 6'3 and his band mate is 6'7!! maybe I need to adjust the people I'm hanging around with :rotfl:
Off to Iceland later, going to buy a few SW ready meals to have when OH is out - tonight, then Friday and Saturday.. it may feel like a treat but still sticking to plan a bit if I don't have to cook IYSWIM.
Sorry this is only a quick visit, my lunch half hour is the quickest half hour in the day!Butternut squash is yuck

Thanks for the 'hello's', lovely to see you all
I am really cross with myself. I was doing so well with the sugar free malarkey. I went totally sugar cold turkey from June 1st right up to October 31st. I had lost 4 stone, I was feeling great, my hair was better, my skin was better, my mood was better, I was feeling much more 'me'. Then out of the blue I lost it?
It was Halloween and I'd got treats in the house, and I didn't even really give myself chance to think about it, I just did it, I ate some. And then that was it, game over. I tried to start again, but I was right back on the hard stuff.
Christmas lasted for the whole 31 days in December, my New Years resolution lasted until 14th January then I was stuffing again. Then it was 'start again on 1st February', 'start again after Pancake Day', 'start again in Half Term' and now I'm actually thinking 'start again after Easter' !!
So I know I just need to say that I am a food addict, and I can't have any sugar at all. Boozers can't have 'just one' and nor can smokers can they? So I know the only way to get through is to say 'NO sugar'. At all. Ever.
It's not the Slimming World way though is it? They advocate everything in moderation. Doing it the SW way definitely works for me. I've lost weight countless times with their method. But I always end up bingeing again. Then it all goes on again, and some.
Nope, that's it, sugar is the enemy. I will give it up. I have to give it up. I'm gonna start again. On FridaySay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Hi all
Frogga - BNS is very versatile and Speed, have you tried it roasted? I've just roasted some with red pepper to make soup. Well done for giving up sugar for so long. :T If you can do it once you can do it again.
Shala and TIE - don't worry about the upcoming birthdays, age is just a number. You'll still feel the same after your birthday as you did before. Feel free to remind me of that next year - I'm going to be 60!
Today has been on plan so far, I've only used syns for a bit of butter and a yogurt and I'm not going to have alcohol tonight so I might have a couple of ryvita with laughing cow cheese triangles later if I'm peckish. Its going to be a green day tomorrow, we're having JP, beans and cheese for dinner and BNS soup for lunch.
See you tomorrow.

Evening all
Frogga - everyone's different, but I tend to think giving something up completely makes you more likely to binge. But at the end of the day you need to do what works for you
Had a good day today - been for a brisk walk this evening and been on plan:
Breakfast: 35g bran flakes (heB), clementine
Morning snacks: apple, pear, nectarine, 2x clementine
Lunch: Asda snack pot (1.5 syns)
Afternoon snacks: alpen light (3 syns), nectarine
Dinner: bacon, squash and sweet potato stew
Evening snacks: hot chocolate made with choc shot (1.5 syns) and heA milk; alpen bar (6 syns)
Drinks: tea/coffee with heA milk; water; NAS squash; green tea
May have a muller light later, will see how I feel. Speaking of muller lights, I saw a mandarin flavoured one in the fridge at work today which I thought sounded nice but I've never seen in the shops. Has anyone else seen these before?0 -
I get the "premium" modal ones, £10 each. Really nice fit but I think they run pretty big, I'm a 16 in stretch jeans (need the stretch due to pear shape) and the 14s comfortably fit. I think the 12s I bought would fit my waist already but they're still too tight on the legs - I have large legs unfortunately! Which is why I don't wear leggings out of the house at any other time. :rotfl:
I love that the 25% off is on top of the other deals. Sadly nothing good for me in our clearance section, although I did pick up a gorgeous newborn sleepsuit for a friend's baby (due in a few weeks) for £1.87 after all the discounts!
Oh you get the posh ones eh June:rotfl: Didn't really notice the modal one (wasn't really looking for leggings as I have 2 new black pairs of £3 Primani ones (ok but go quite thin quickly). Might check out Sainsbobs when I do big food shop at the weekend - a navy pair would be handy.

Hello friends
Lovely to see you frogga :hello::hello::hello:
DS popped over today on an unexpected visit and stayed for tea. We had Sainsbury's BGTY Beef Quarterpounders (1 syn) with SW chips, hm coleslaw and salad. Couldn't manage my burger so plan to re-heat it later in a bit of bisto best and pop it into a wm bun (heb) - aaaahhhhh nom nom
Having day out on Friday with DS and his fiance (out of town shopping centre) and I was planning my lunch at Subway for one of their lovely salads. Talk today has been of going to Nandos . Well I am probably one of the few people on the planet who has never been to Nandos. So I need to know what is the best option synwise and also heatwise - I am a bit of a whimp when it comes to heat - would love to know what you all choose when you are trying to behave. No doubt we will be paying homage to Costa too - no problem there as I can quite happily stick with an americano.
