  • Sorry I've been awol for a few days and haven't had chance to catch up.
It's a gain for me official weigh in is +2lb. Not surprised after the amount of processed/white carbs at the weekend (not an awful lot but I usually tend to miss this out in favour of a couple of tbsps. of rice or pasta at lunch/tea rather than laminated pastries at breakfast/white bread sandwiches). On the plus side it is movement which I've not seen for a few weeks so hopefully I can get moving again now!

    today:
breakfast: heb porridge made with part hea milk
lunch: homemade soup (free) 2 x satsuma
tea: we have training so I will have a mug shot around 3.45 (free) and run through on that!
drinks: tea with milk from HeA, 2 syn hot choc mid afternoon and lots of water
1 mile walk later too :)

what are everybody's favourite low syn snacks? I want to avoid chocolate/biscuits/low syn sweets etc in favour of more savoury things but would like to try a little more variety. Also thinking of breaking up my lunch in to two smaller meals with a little time in between...almost more grazing I guess than set meals.

    Snack ideas so far:
    hard boiled eggs
    fruit salad with free yogurt
chicken pieces with something...not sure what!
ham rolls up with low syn cream cheese and veggies (piece sof free ham spread with a little cheese, veggie sin the middle then rolled like a wrap
oven grilled/roast pepper slices (peppers cut in to fat slices, little spray of frylight then baked or grilled with cottage cheese (ham or chicken can be added too)

    just fancy trying something else.

I may 'treat' myself to some frozen prawns when I next do a shop (OH doesn't like them) and start having them with my salads etc as a little change

    Afternoon

Well done Hurdy on your loss, well done to all the other losers. If you've maintained or gained, keep at it :T:T

I'll be in the gainer's club this week :( again! I haven't been on plan at all since being poorly and my poorly food is always Heinz tomato soup with thick crusty bread  so much of that was eaten.. I'm off to the spa on Sunday so that'll be a 3 course lunch and then 3.5 weeks to the big 4..0.. and the weeks surrounding that are filling up with afternoon teas and meals out :( *sigh*

Tweets - I need to ask - the milk and soup maker, it makes milk?? is that how I'm reading it or am I just being dense? I'm assuming it's like almond milk etc, rather than milk from a cow, otherwise that's just cruel :rotfl:

I feel like a titch greentiger, my OH is 6'3, his brother is 6'3 and his band mate is 6'7!! maybe I need to adjust the people I'm hanging around with :rotfl:

Off to Iceland later, going to buy a few SW ready meals to have when OH is out - tonight, then Friday and Saturday.. it may feel like a treat but still sticking to plan a bit if I don't have to cook IYSWIM.

Sorry this is only a quick visit, my lunch half hour is the quickest half hour in the day!
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

Shala - New Iceland deal started today. Buy 2 meals and get a free butternut squash or pack of green beans. And I'm only 5'2 surrounded by 5'9+ in-laws (that's the women!) so we can hang out. ;)

    Hello matey ;)

I'm good thanks. I went 'sugar free' last year. I lost 4 stone :j

Unfortunately I found the sugar again in October, and found 2 stone of the 4 that I lost. Looking really hard for the other 2 stone so reckon I'll soon find that as well :o

    How are you?

    xx

Thanks for your kind words Lois! Unfortunately I expect we are just going through the motions and we will still be sat here in 6 months time no further on or in any a better situation.

We all have our troubles but it would be nice if parents would behave. One less thing to worry about.
  • Afternoon all!

Major off plan day yesterday. 3 courses in Italian restaurant, although the main course was a light pizza. Also had a caramel shortbread and a toasted teacake with butter! 3 days to try and redeem myself!

Joined the gym today. My mum very kindly paid my joining fee as an early birthday present. Signed up for my first pilates class tomorrow evening and have bought some clothes to wear. Not sure what expect. Hoping in the long term that it might help with the backaches I'm getting from lugging my sack of spuds (baby!)around! Any experiences?

    Menu today:

    B - overnight oats (heb)
L - jacket potato, beans, cheese (hea), salad
    S - biscuit (4), clementine, banana
D - Bacon and veg pasta, ff greek yoghurt, raspberries, meringues (2)

Going to try to save rest of syns for clawing back yesterday
