    Afternoon / evening everyone

WI for me today and its +1lb for me please shala

Don't know why I'm  with myself it's my own fault being all self sabotagey and bingey and thinking 2 days of eating properly would make up for it. Must do better! Maybe I should have tried shaving my legs I might have had a loss then :p

I did the same thing the second half of last year... it can be so tough to break that cycle! Best thing to do is plan ahead and try to be stricter with yourself, or if you know you are going to binge after weigh in plan some extra good days!

I'm being a little better than last year and I am slowly losing. My current ban on takeaway is probably helping so when I'm being not quite so on plan I'm probably not doing quite as much damage.
I do still tend to have a cheat weekend (saturday morning weigh in) so I may have to curb this if I start to not lose. I used to have cheat weekend and still have 15 syns a day so now I'm trying to use fewer syns on normal days. Mostly aim to use 5 but I do go over a little. Bit naughty today I think I'm on 11.5syns! It wouldn't have been so bad but someone at work was giving out bags of mini oreo eggs and I was peckish after dinner and had a small chocolate then.... other than that it was going to be just 5.5 for a bag of pufts and some margarine on my toast.
Trying to lose weight (13.5lb to go)

b_e_g - I only started going to nandos fairly recently - I went once years ago and didn't enjoy it much so didn't go back for a very long time! However I've now changed my mind and decided it's decent food at a decent price - will quite often go there for lunch if me and OH are out for the day. I tend to opt for butterfly chicken (3 syns), spicy rice (2 syns) and a corn on the cob. The main trouble I find with nandos is getting any speed in!! But I just try and make up for that in the rest of the day usually. In terms of spiciness, if you really don't like any spice, just get your chicken plain. I normally opt for one of the two mildest flavourings (can't remember what they are but I know one of them has mango in!)

I think the other mild flavour is lemon and herb.

After what I thought was a bad week (had a craving for sandwich thins with cold ham and pickle, bacon and tomato etc.) I stood on the scales and had lost three pounds - to be fair I had put on three pounds in the last two weeks due to changes in weigh in days and times.

DD was asked what she planned to do and said she would eat my home cooked SW meals - group and I looked a bit surprised!!;)
I have sent her off with a home made chicken and veg noodle dish
for tomorrow. I hope to make several portions of home made SW cottage pie tomorrow and freeze them and maybe also pork with veg and rice to freeze.

Thanks for the Nandos info ladies :). I was imagining it would be a lot higher syn value than that - probably other options would be :rotfl:. It is good to know that I wont be breaking the synbank if I have to eat there :D

Well done on your loss elona :T

So I had a sneaky peak at the scales tonight... they're showing a 1.5lb gain :( I know it's my own fault for taking a look midweek, and things may change by WI, but still feeling a bit disheartened by it.

Hi everyone, Well done to all the losers out there, sympathy to the gainers & sts'ers, good luck for your next weigh ins everyone. I couldn't get to group tonight, I could've done with seeing what damage I did over the Valentines weekend though, I'm going to dread getting on the scales next time, I think I need to go to group to keep my motivation going.

I love your snacks/treats, lush. I find it hard to come up with a variety of savoury ones. I often have cheese and grapes or other fruit.

Ha ha, shala, I see where you’re coming from. My son is 6’3” and I have to run to keep up with him when he’s just ambling along! I’ll be your number + 25 in a bit less than 5 weeks (my birthday must be near yours, TIE) – right in the middle of my Dechox!

Yay! Frogga’s back! Great to see you.

Popping by with results STS which probably is to be expected due to a few treats over the weekend. At least it wasn't a gain.
Well done to all the losers and hugs to anyone who needs it.

So last night went to group, felt ok, thoght i'd have a loss of 3 lbs, but in fact lost 7lbs, got my stone award and slimmer of the week. So thats 3 weeks in.
    Week 1: 8lbs;
    week 2: 3lbs
    and this week 7 .
I know I've a long way to go, 7 more stone, and the more you have to lose the more you lose initially but even so I'm a bit gobsmacked.
I'm hoping for a 1lb loss next week cos I don't expect to keep this sort of momentum up. 2 at a time would be fine. Big losses kind of scare me.

Nice to see everyone else's stories, and glad to hear about Nandos syns. I love Nandos. especially the spiced fries. Ahem.

I've only ever been to Nandos once, years ago. There isn't one near me so that's why.

I hear people talking about it a lot as a good option for SW.

I had medium spice when I was there BEG and remembered thinking I could have gone hotter as it wasn't that spicy at all.

I think they do lots of salads now as well and with the dressing on the side they would be low syn I'm sure.
