Bit rich coming from the person who dug up a two week old thread to try and make a parting shot.
    He is right though.

Sorry I don't mean to be rude but I prefer not to answer that, I don't think it's relevant anyway.

You should have said that to the interviewer instead!

Just hope you haven't lied about your abilities in a role where lives are dependant on them....still, only little white ones?

Thanks to all for this thread and the contributions. Very useful input I think for recruiters.

One thing I haven't seen is anyone picking up on the job offerer being analysed. We look at any major increase in pay (new people or internal moves). That doesn't mean it is frowned upon, but just looked into. Whether we would see the actual salary is something I will look into. But in many areas we have a good idea what our competitors pay so hopefully would spot any great exaggeration.

We are luckily in an industry where salaries are high but we also like to ensure equality across employees and that we are getting value for money. But everyone needs to feel and be valued.

Just out of interest I'd terminate the offer/employment if I saw 100% evidence of a blatant lie.
