I'm starting to think that popping into the branch on Monday is going to be the easiest way to sort this account out.
Honestly, it's like wading through treacle (if the treacle ever arrived that is). And what's worse is that their FD arm is one of the most efficient by comparison.
Could be a hard earned £120, this one...0 -
I was one of those rejected last time for the Advance account and no reason given although after following the last thread it seemed the only reason could be my Salary wasn't enough.( even though I could have financed the req Advance acc deposit monthly by other means which HSBC knew about )....never been rejected by any Bank before that. Not best Pleased as I met all the published T&Cs... seemed HSBC were being shady about the T&C they DID NOT publish....anyway have applied for this new offer on line ( not wasting my time going into branch to risk rejection again ) but only applied for Basic this time which they did offer me first time but my financial situation has changed since then.
I got a message along the lines if "application will need to be reviewed" at the end of the application...anyone else had that ?
Do not hold out much hope of a positive result after how HSBC were last time but £120 makes it worth a punt...not holding my breath though, lots of other banks are way way more efficient AND publish ALL their T&Cs.0 -
I applied online Sunday and received a letter today requesting ID.
The letter had an account number and sort code as the reference.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
Like several others, I have received a letter telling me about switching, but nothing saying I have been approved for the account. I am going to assume that this means I have indeed been approved for the account. Should I contact them and go into branch with ID, or wait for another letter? As long as I get my incentive eventually I'm really not in a rush. I'm almost as interested in the 6% saver as I am in the incentive.0

I'm going to wait for the letter. Hopefully it won't be too longIf you change nothing, nothing will change!!0

Was about to set up a DD on a dummy account before remembering that this offer doesn't have any DD requirements. Will switch tomorrow or Monday.0

I am going to arrange my switch next week. I have a question about the HSBC regular saver. Point 5 in the T&Cs states:
"The first Standing Order payment must be at least one calendar after the date you opened your Regular Saver."
If I open my regular saver on, for example, 20th January with an internal transfer from my Advance account. Do I have to set my standing order payment up for 20th February or can I set it to 1st February?0 -
I applied yesterday and got the message that my application will need to be reviewed. Like a few others, I was previously rejected for Advance account for unknown reasons (other than HSBC being very picky), so have tried the basic account this time.
Fingers crossed...0 -
