Then you are fine. Its the 'bank' current account that needs a minimum of £500 credit turnover a month.
On 'current' account terms you miss out only on the likes of an overdraft facility and access to accounts like the regular saver which pays 4% and loyalty cash isa.
Are there two current accounts? I was going to upgrade to advanced but could not be bothered to call them.:money:0 -
"bank", "premier" and "advance" seem to be the main ones. Premier has no pay in req, bank is 500, advance is 1750.

I tried to upgrade, they want three months of 1750 before they will upgrade it.0

Premier, Advance, Bank, Current (to existing customers only) and basic are the main personal current accounts offered by HSBC. https://www.hsbc.co.uk/1/2/current-accounts0 -
Thanks, I have found out there are:
Basic Bank Account, no monthly income payment required.
Bank Account Pay Monthly - £10 fee- £500 per month income payment required.
Bank Account, £500 per month income payment required.
HSBC Advance, £1750 per month income payment required.
HSBC Premier, £50k savings required and yearly income payment required.
HSBC Private, you needs lots of money for that.:D
They seem to be getting very strict with Advance upgrades, they would not upgrade me over the phone until three months of evidence that my £1750 was being paid in each month, even when I put in the 10.5k, they would not.
So I went to branch and had to show evidence of my salary, then they upgraded me. Blind me.0 -
What do you get with advance apart from a regular saver?0

Account opened: 28 January
Switch completed: 19 February
80 days after the switch was completed, on Monday (10 May) I hadn't received any money. The terms and conditions state maximal 70 days after account opening! Contacted HSBC by secure message. Received an apology and the £120 today.
Money received: 12 May0
