Evening lovely ladies  just flopped into bed and have caught up on the thread. Thank you for all the supportive messages. Still feeling a bit down and sad but the show must go on, as they say.

I'm finding it difficult to do much flying but have started to sort out the bedrooms after Christmas and there will definitely be a toy cull before the end of December. Going to compile a list of things to do (in addition to the daily flylady duties ;) ) and aim to cross at least one job off every day. Some are frogs, others mere tadpoles...

Job for tomorrow - buy mousetraps. Piggers, did you say mice are partial to peanut butter, or have I imagined that? Feel a bit sad, as I think mice are sweet, but we can't have them in the house. I've been soft enough to allow squeakers to make nests in the straw in the open barn, as it's cold, but not in my home, damp and soggy as it is.

See you all in the morning x

Hiya everyone and welcome to more new peoples and returners :hello:

Have booked a delivery from Mr T for Wednesday - should motivate me to do out the fridge the morrow instead of procrastinating.

Going to do a bit of cooking as well. Not sure what yet - I'll decide in the morning :) DH chopped up the rest of the HUGE swede (turnip if you're Scottish) he bought last week and I've cooked, mashed and frozen in portions.

Monday - a bit of everything!
    Sweep or vac too
Sort through the fridge - any leftovers that need to be binned?

Tuesday - kitchen and dining room
Sort all the washing up / empty the DW? Am I the only one who constantly has something on my drainer?
    Wipe down your large appliances
Run the WM / DW on a hot wash and clean the filters
DR - wipe over the table - are you finished with christmas linen?
Any other surfaces to clear / wipe?
    Wash a window
Back to the kitchen - pick a cupboard- empty it and wipe the shelves. Only put back what you need. Can anything be ditched?
    Extras
Spend some time with your new diary and a cuppa!

Hope you all have a super Tuesday

Hugs, sticks and spoons if you need some

Lovely walk with DD and the parents today, up in the Peaks.

then took old cat (17, 18 in feb) to vets.

Lump could be many things but it's in the lymph system and likely to be 'sinister'. I think the vet said lymphoma was likely, but without tests we can't be certain and tbh the expense of testing seems pointless. Promptly dissolved...She is struggling (slightly) to swallow but can eat so we are keeping her going until she becomes uncomfortable. This is likely to mean the trip to the vets - THE trip IYSWIM will be me, solo. So what I might do is write down that I don't want to prolong her suffering, should we get to that stage, because the chances that I can explain that will be slim...she is 18 in February; the Vallikids have grown up with her and she is such a pleasant little cat and learned to use the cat flap (at the beginning of the month!) in next to no time! Anyway the letter will tell them what I know I won't be able to say. And I will respect their advice whatever it is. DS used to refer to her as 'our sister'.

For now we are adding water to her food to soften it to make swallowing easier and I have bought some cat milk as it will have more calories in it for her. Were swallowing really difficult I would have let he go today but it's not at that stage yet.

    I ironed.
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY

yes.. they love it.. and chocolate.. I think they are really sweet too but you have enough to contend with without sharing your biscuit tin house with the little beasties!!!

Valli.. I said 2 words when I took Noel ... 'It's time' ... that's all I could muster. I told the vet I would know when it was time and I would not keep him suffering for my benefit and as long as he had happiness in his life I would keep trying.. I knew when it was time and we went.. If I could come with you I would, even though I am a big nelly-podging softy and would blubber like a nitwit right along with you xx

Hat to match the evil finished scarf almost half done.. its whizzing together quite nicely actually :)

  • Morning ladies,

Just done an online shop for delivery tomorrow morning whilst having a cuppa. DS has commandeered the iPad (ben & holly on repeat....) and DH and DD are still asleep. Plans for today include washing DDs bedding and the throw from the sofa - it looks to be a nice sunny day according to the forecast so we may get to line dry!

DH can do the chazza run and go to the post office for me :) I think the elves have been into the playroom in the night and trashed it, i'm sure it was tidier than this when I went to bed... Hugs to all in need xxx

Have good days all xx :)

    Morning all. Hugs Valli.

We had our second Xmas day with DD and her OH yesterday and they didn't leave till really late, which is nice, but I'm so tired this morning.

Supposed to be back to the paid stuff today but can't log on (due to flood damage at HQ). Oh the irony of it!

So I'd better take a look at the list. Decorations staying up here till next Sunday.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
